Project Team Lead – Wagerup, WA

Our client is seeking 2 x Project Team Leads to work within their facilities located in Wagerup, WA supporting their refinery operations.

Job Overview:
We are seeking 2 x Project Team Leads, one focused on electrical and instrumentation and one focused on Mechanical, to manage the successful delivery of projects, maintain stakeholder relationships, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams. The ideal candidates will have strong project management experience in the refinery industry and be located within a reasonable driving distance to the clients Wagerup location. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work independently and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:
  • Applying and integrating the project management processes of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
  • Lead the project team to deliver project in accordance with the Clients' standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Effective coordination of multiple stakeholders (mainly plant operations) and healthy client relationships throughout the project phase.
  • Pro-active resolution of performance, scope, cost, and schedule issues with the Client as they arise.
  • Coordination and interface management with Vendors, Implementation Contractors and other third parties to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner
  • Identify scope changes/developments and apply Change Management processes when required.
  • Analyse weekly cost and schedule progress reporting and be able to communicate clear assessment of performance to client-side management team.
  • Coordinate with the Construction Team and monitors safety, environment, cost, schedule and quality for each construction package.
What you will bring:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the mining industry, Aluminium mining experience highly regarded.
  • 10 years plus engineering experience, including 5 years of relevant supervisory, project management and/or technical experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Recognised Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ESSENTIAL

Additional:
  • Work from home (WFH) for 2 days per week
  • On-site presence for 3 days per week
  • Flexibility for a 9-day fortnight option
