QC INSPECTOR PIPING

Duration: initial 12 month contract, with option to extend.

Overview
We have an opportunity for a QC Inspector Piping to support the INEOS Project One, a multi-million-dollar project to deliver EPCm services for a new state-of-the-art petrochemicals complex in Antwerp, Belgium. Project One which will deliver an ethane cracker with the lowest carbon footprint in Europe.
This position will be a site-based role in Antwerp, Belgium; where the successful candidate(s) will be engaged on an initial 12 month contract, with the option for further contract renewals to follow.
Responsibilities:
- Review and comment subcontractor piping procedure & qualifications
- Perform witness, inspection & surveillance checks and assess continually Piping subcontractor’s performance
- Ensure that all inspection activities are recorded in the appropriate records.
- Ensuring quality of the work for compliance with CQCP, approved ITP’s/ procedures and standards within assigned areas
- Monitor Subcontractors QC resource levels to achieve quality standards according to agreed ratio
- Issue status and trend reports as necessary and requested by Site Management providing suggestions on how to improve quality of Piping activities
- Record deficiencies and/or incomplete works on punch items and liaise with supervisor/ superintendent to expedite necessary rectification
- Identify and document Subcontractor and Supplier quality deficiencies and initiate non-conformance process as required.
- Verify that materials used are in accordance with project technical documents and applicable codes and specifications.
- Support QC/ turnover team for collecting relevant QC records
Field safety responsibilities:
- Implement HSE procedures and standards in compliance with applicable laws, Health and Safety Documentation and Environmental Management Manual.
- Be diligent and draw attention to unsafe acts, unsafe behaviours and unsafe conditions.
Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate shall…
- Be in possession of international current certifications for the role.
- Be fully conversant with EN standard and AMSE code requirements and have a solid and demonstrated background on piping engineering
- Previous experience in application of Pressure Equipment Directive PED (for piping) would be preferable.
