Our Company
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to be placed in Stavamger, Norway on a 3-month contract, with possibility of extension. The aim of the job is to assist the project Construction Team for solving technical problems arising during project execution and for interfacing/supporting other department on welding, fabrication, painting and insulation systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor ongoing construction work and ensure that systems and equipment are protected and preserved through fabrication, installation and hook-up
- Follow up plan and activities/milestones for Jotun FPSO modification in accordance with the integrated schedule in Safran 6 weeks’ construction plan and Power BI
- In field final inspection of construction work
- Assist in MC completion and Commissioning activities
- Review of final documentation according to project requirements
- Follow up QA/QC routines and procedures for the Construction/Completion phase and follow up by site inspections including pre-fabrication site and report all non-compliance, comment activities to QA-plan, audit and verification plan
- Ensure good communication between EPCI contractor and Company and be the connecting link between QC and Construction
- Ensure that operators have adequate skills in respective trades and continuously follow up on quality of installation activities
- Follow up and reporting Quality Deviation and findings in PIMS
- Carry out inspection activities on Jotun according to QC inspection activity plan and Inspection & Test Plans.
- To be proactive and close to EPCI contracts to ensure correct delivery of welding, painting and insulation subjects in terms of quality, time, and cost.
Skills / Qualifications
- FROSIO Level 3, Surface treatment and insulation
- Welding inspector, IWI-C
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil & gas Industry, preferable engineering/Operation
- Knowledge and practice of applicable standards, design, construction, operation
- Experience with PIMS CMS
