Airswift has been tasked to hire a long term contract I/E Inspector and Construction Supervisor for our top Oil & Gas client located in Houston, TX.
The Contractor Constructor Supervisor and Inspector responsibilities include supporting of their projects in the control engineering department, weekly reporting of their work statuses, completing daily inspection reports when on-site construction is active, and walks down and verifies existing drawings. Other specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Acts as the owner agent and makes technical decisions on behalf of Enterprise Products
- Reviews work performed by construction companies and approves on behalf of Enterprise Products
- Civil Structural work for cable trays and conduits
- I&E work
- Instrument Installation
- This role will provide guidance and support for the following control engineering efforts:
- Construction supervision of project work
- Inspection of project work
- Supervise cutover activities
- Act in the Inspection role during commissioning
- Track engineered drawing redlines during construction, cutover, and commissioning
- Understand the process, process equipment, and control equipment including associated electrical and instrumentation related to control systems. Interact with operations to develop control system improvements to reduce potential for safety and environmental impact during normal and upset operating conditions.
- Support the preparation and utilization of specifications, details, maintenance procedures and documentation improvements for pipeline and related facilities
- Support the preparation of job plans, construction scope of work, and Request For Proposal providing technical guidance on construction details
- Field verify existing I&E drawings and creates redlines for as-built purposes.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years work history as an Electrician or Instrument Technician. Preferably a minimum of 5 years construction supervision with an I&E construction company.
- Aptitude to review and field verify I&E drawings a must. Experience as an I&E Designer a plus.
- Working knowledge of the various PHSMA, OSHA and industry standards as it relates to control engineering.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge in the following Industry Standards
