Airswift is looking for a Quality Control Inspector (Piping) in Ingleside, TX to work on a 6-month contract with one of our major clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure KOS and their subcontractors implement the approved quality systems and procedures to meet the company's expectations and contract requirements.
  • Perform inspection and verification of both in-process and completed piping work activities, witnessing testing performed by KOS and their subcontractors, and review of documentation.
  • Perform inspections and verify piping work follows project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes including regulatory requirements. Individual will be required to complete daily inspection reports / checklist and maintain records.
  • Additional duties will include performing surveillances, examples provided below:
  • Material Control and storage
  • Personnel Qualification
  • Review of NDE reports and witness testing
  • Dimensional Control
  • Additional responsibilities include:
  • Compliance with all company's policies and procedures as well as site Safety policies
  • Interface with the project Certifying Authority (CA)
  • Interface with the company's construction team and KOS QC/Construction

Deliverables:

  • Complete weekly reporting to Site Lead and Quality Manager related to scope specific activities
  • Conduct Field level inceptions and report deficiencies and areas of concern
  • Work with site and contractor quality terms to solve problems and implement corrective actions when deficiencies are discovered
  • Complete field level audit and document results in company's online audit tool
  • Oversee testing and ensure resting requirements are adhered too
  • Promote the company's Quality Requirements throughout the project

Qualifications:

  • Must possess the ability to read, analyze, and understand contract documents, codes & standards, specifications and drawings. CSA B51, CAN/CSA-Z19902, ASME XI and ASME B31.1 apply.
  • Multi discipline experience/abilities (such as structural inspection experience) will be given preference
  • Knowledge of job or industry specific practices or processes; critical/unique skills/knowledge
  • Experience directly applicable to the position
  • Level II Certification in the following
  • Radiography Testing

  • Working Knowledge of the following codes and standards
  • CSA B51
  • ASME B31.1
  • ASME XI
  • Can/CSA 1992
  • Ability to ready and interpret Piping and Structural Drawings
  • Able to read and interpret Radiography
  • Able to conduct quality audits and generate reports
  • Able to complete report writing
