Location: Paris, France*
Contract duration: 12 months’ renewable
Schedule: Full-time (Monday – Friday)
*There will be a need for the job holder to travel on regular missions to the fabrication sites (Horten - Norway, Ingleside, TX and Panama City, FL).
On behalf of our customers, we are currently recruiting for a Quality Lead to be placed in Paris and would be on a 12 months’ contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Assume ultimate responsibility towards CPI Manager for all Quality scope activities to support the execution phase.
- Ensure safe, on time and within budget delivery of all quality scope related elements within the CPI scope of work.
- Monitor and manage all facets of quality activities within the CPI scope of work to ensure that quality requirements are, as a minimum, met or improved upon.
- Lead the Quality Team organization and provide support to the CPY TPIs as needed.
- Ensure appropriate quality processes / ways of working are established and implemented appropriate to the work activities being undertaken.
- Bring to earliest attention of CPI Manager quality issues which present a significant threat to the Project and in addition offer mitigating measures / work plans.
- Represent the Quality Team at both internal and external meetings.
- Provide reporting function towards CPI Manager for quality related activities, including tracking of work progress.
- Review CPI documentation (plans, procedures, risk assessments, reports etc.) and prepare Company project documentation as required.
- Attend, contribute to and lead project meetings.
- Define, monitor and manage work tasks with external consultants and contractors as required.
- Undertake specific ad-hoc tasks to assist CPI Manager as and when required.
- Contribute to lessons learned processes.
- Lead / participate in quality assurance program audit activities.
- Provide effective leadership in Quality performance and compliance across CPI scope activities.
- Ensure that all CPI work activities are performed in compliance with a high regard to Quality Assurance and Control.
- Follow up non-conformance reports and ensure resulting corrective actions are implemented.
Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality assurance and quality control within large scale Oil&Gas contracts.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant track record with quality assurance and quality control activities related to engineering and fabrication of SPS equipment, subsea umbilicals, controls and topside injection modules (MEG/MeOH/Chemical pumps, HPUs, Valve skids, etc.).
- Ability to get along well with others in an international / multi-cultural environment and take a pragmatic approach to problem solving situations.
- Ability to multi-task and work as part of small and flexible team.
- Desire to take responsibility for own area of work and to hold self-accountable to deliver in accordance with responsibilities.
- Ability to manage interfaces between multiple contractors.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with contractors and contractor personnel and progress collaborative problem solving.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Fluid communicator capable to represent the project in front of third parties and other stakeholders in a professional and organized manner.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent is required with materials or metallurgy specialism preferred.
