Airswift is seeking a Quality Manager to work on a 12 months assignment in Huizhou with a major Chemical Project. Requires quality manager type person but the role will be split into 2 distinct portions

  1. Procurement quality coverage for the entire project from now until summer 2023 in Beijing. Providing leadership and technical guidance/followup of major procurement related quality issues, working directly with SEI and the vendors to help our teams and other quality leads find solutions.
  2. Construction site lead for either infrastructure & utilities or Offplots portions of the project from summer 2023 to end of project in Huizhou.
Job Responsibilities:
-Responsible to implement Project Quality Plan in assigned scope of work.
-Establish Interface Management processes and procedures.
-Monitor procurement activities and ensure compliance with approved processes and procedures .
-Ensure inspections are conducted by qualified individuals in accordance with the Suppliers' approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) .
-Conduct / attend selected pre-inspection meetings with critical material or equipment Suppliers
-Implement the Procurement Surveillance Program according to the approved Surveillance Plan .
-Provide feedback on supplier performance to owner of Qualified Supplier List (QSL)
-The candidate must have strong construction management skills/work experience and must be bilingual (Chinese and English).
- Proritize the candidates who has worked for one of the major projects in Dayawan.
- Client only accepts local Chinese candidate
• Lead development of methodology / tools / procedures for construction planning and execution.
• Lead project reviews (i.e., independent reviews, readiness reviews)
• Formulate construction strategies and plans:
• Define site team organization structure and roles / responsibilities.
• Lead vulnerability reviews and risk assessments, with mitigation plans for each.
• Validate construction cost and schedule development
• Input construction perspective into contracting strategy and work breakdown structure.
• Develop alternative / contingency construction plans.
• Support logistics, site infrastructure, and early works planning.
• Advise in the application of toolkits, and construction management systems.
• Advise project teams and participate in constructability reviews during front end and detailed engineering.
• Train and mentor less experienced engineers in construction management skills.
• Serve as a "Safety Champion"
• Identify and take action on opportunities across a broad range of functional interfaces.
• Build and leverage working relationships for growing individual proficiencies and achieving business objectives
• Provide support of innovation, digital initiatives, and knowledge / lessons learned sharing
