Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Operator to work on a 6-month contract in Stratford, CT.
This person will be responsible for operating process equipment in a safe and efficient
manner to produce finished product to specifications. Troubleshoot problems as they arise. Assist in providing an organized and clean workplace.
Essential Job Functions:
- Understand and execute standard operating procedures related to the manufacturing
processes, including but not limited to, milling, blending, and packaging including and
operation of PLC based control equipment.
- Package materials to fulfil customer orders, ensuring that packaging and weights meet
the customer’s specification.
- Produce product to the production schedule following standard operating procedures.
- Assist with all functions related to waste handling, collection of required samples, and QC
sampling.
- Transport finished product & containers to proper locations
- Perform equipment clean outs as required.
- Sweep, vacuum and clean up the plant area when instructed.
- Assist production, shipping & receiving, and maintenance when needed and assist all
other departments to ensure overall plant performance.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 60 College Credit Hours
OR HS Diploma or equivalent and 5 years recent industry experience
OR HS Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of military experience
Physical Demands:
Position is considered “heavy work”, defined as exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or 25-50 of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to operate a forklift in a safe and prudent manner.
Ability to safely lift and carry (for approximately 10-20 feet) heavy objects weighing up
to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
Ability to safely handle drums greater than 300 pounds, with or without drum handling
equipment.
Ability to wear dust mask and half/full-face air-purifying respirator, in the performance
of job duties and emergency response team duties.
Work Environment and Environmental Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with chemical, physical, ergonomic, and electrical hazards.
- Work includes a variety of physical conditions including, but not limited to, proximity to moving mechanical parts and powered industrial trucks, potential exposure to hot work
or steam, and working with sharp tools.
- Works with and around hazardous substances.
- Work may require use of protective clothing and equipment, which may include, but not

Our client seeks a Senior Expeditor / Materials Controller for a 2 and 1 role to FIFO from any capital city of Australia.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide continuous insight into supplier's progress towards meeting purchase order requirements, particularly delivery schedules.
- Develop alternative and timely schemes to keep progress on schedule for project requirements.
- Ensure adherence with company and project expediting policies and procedures and act within limits of delegated authority.
- Work with buyers, engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE and quality to ensure purchase order requirements are understood and complied with by the supplier.
- Establish formal and informal communications with assigned suppliers to enable timely, accurate and forward-looking analysis of supplier's progress at meeting interim delivery schedules of supplier data, manufacturing milestones, material deliveries, testing activities and material and equipment delivery.
- Track supplier data information movement to and from the supplier, documenting the progress in the progress management system.
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of a materials control system for the site and ensure adherence to relevant company and project policies and procedures.
- Determine and report in ERM overages, shortages, non-conforming and damaged materials and equipment.
- Develop and implement plans to remedy discrepancies and negative impacts caused by these anomalies. Liaise with the project procurement team to report deliveries and any discrepancies.
- Identify surplus material and process its movement through the disposal and scrap process.
- Perform or assist in periodic audits of stores, warehouse, tool cribs and free issue stocks as required by company procedure or customer
About you:
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Strong experience in a similar role working on a mine site will be preferred
- Competent with warehousing & materials management processes
- Familiar with ERP system for inventory & purchasing process (or similar software system)
- Ability to work autonomously on a developing site from construction through to operations stages.
- Competent with record keeping, document filing and weekly reporting

Our client seeks a Senior Structural Designer for an initial 12 month role Perth based.
Working on a project for a Tier 1 mining client, we are looking for talented individuals to bring their structural design experience gained either in the iron ore industry or other related industries, to help deliver and execute a long life and highly complex iron ore mine of the future.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the lead structural designer, you will part of talented team of structural engineers and designers to deliver of all structural related elements relating to material handling facilities including brownfield tie in scopes to existing Coarse Ore stockpile as well as general conveyor support structures.
- Support the development of 3D models
- Producing 2D drawings using MicroStation from 3D models.
- Support the coordination of workshare between various offices
- Cross disciplinary coordination to ensure successful delivery of Customer’s requirement
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between its Customer's requirements.
- Support effective communication with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
About you:
- Awarded a 2 or 3 year technical diploma with discipline specific training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 8 years plus experience in structural design in the mining, energy and/or infrastructure sector
- Prior experience of working within medium to large projects within multidiscipline environment is essential
- Experience in Resource Sector is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Be highly driven with a focus on delivery and service
Technical and Industry Experience
- Worked in a project with a 3D modelling workflow
- Extensive experience in Microstation is required.
- Sound knowledge of a 3D package such as Prosteel or similar software is required
- Prior experience in detailing of concrete works is favourable
- Prior experience in E3d or PDMS is advantageous but no essential.
- Worked with team with diverse background
