This role contributes to the implementation of risk mitigation strategies that uphold safety, reliability, and compliance. The engineer assists in risk analysis activities, such as hazard identification (HAZID), risk assessments, and compliance reviews, while working under the guidance of senior team members to maintain safety and quality standards across project operations.

Key Objectives

  • Assist in coordinating technical input across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.

  • Support the tracking and documentation of technical and operational interfaces between contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of interface and risk management plans.

  • Help identify and assess risks related to engineering and project execution, contributing to the maintenance of a project risk register.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of risk mitigation measures.

  • Assist in the review of compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ISO) and local regulations.

  • Participate in internal reviews and audits to monitor project quality and adherence to design and safety requirements.

  • Support assurance activities during key project milestones such as FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.

  • Provide technical input within a specific discipline (e.g., subsea, pipelines, topsides, or wells) as part of broader risk and assurance efforts.

  • Contribute to technical analysis and documentation in support of decision-making.

  • Facilitate internal communication by preparing reports, meeting notes, and risk summaries for project teams.

  • Support engagements with contractors and regulatory authorities as required.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with exposure to deepwater, subsea, or offshore projects preferred.

  • Solid understanding of risk management processes, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and project risk registers.

  • Familiarity with international standards (API, ISO) and local Indonesian regulatory requirements.

  • Experience supporting large-scale projects during FEED, detailed design, or commissioning phases.

  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project teams.
