Airswift is seeking a Road Corridor Permit Officer to work on a 12-month assignment in Brisbane, QLD with a Infrastructure Company.

This person is responsible for coordinate temporary traffic management applications and assist with the coordination of traffic management arrangements for major events and construction projects throughout the city.

  • Lead and role model customer focus by treating all internal and external customers with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity.
  • Assist with the investigation, assessment, implementation and management of work zone applications, construction projects and events.
  • Provide advice on traffic matters which conforms to the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 and is in accordance with the requirements of the Queensland Manual of Uniform Traffic Control devices and Company client’s local laws.
  • Undertake a broad range of administrative tasks including the development and maintenance of administrative systems and processes contributing to efficient and effective operation of the team.
  • Undertake billing and invoicing functions associated with temporary road closure and work zone applications and provide information for financial and performance information for the Work Zone program.
  • Lead and role model customer focus by treating all internal and external customers with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity.
  • Sound communication, consultation and negotiation skills including the ability to resolve enquiries and requests.
  • Work in partnership with your team leader to agreed performance standards and mutual expectations. Give and receive regular feedback to enable performance to be improved and take personal responsibility for optimising your potential within Company client.

  • Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
  • Knowledge of temporary road closures and traffic management arrangements such as those relating to work zones, construction projects and events, of the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • A sound knowledge of the provisions of the Queensland Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Transport Road Use Management Act and relevant Company client’s Local Laws, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including experience liaising with senior officers, external agencies and providers.
  • Experience in consulting and negotiating to resolve complex enquiries and requests.
  • Sound organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve tight deadlines and set outcomes.
  • Experience in entering data accurately and in using corporate systems, processes and computer packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, mapping solutions, databases and web-based user interfaces.
  • Knowledge of the road hierarchy and its functions, principles of traffic management, road safety and driver behavior.
