Company Summary:

We are glad to be retained by a global leader in supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and for solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors. Due to ambitious growth, they are looking for a motivated Regional Sales Manager (France-based) to join one of their divisions and grow their business. This division provides services to the Chemicals, Environment, Mining, and Minerals, and Food and beverages Industries.

Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager will focus on developing the quickly growing customer base for chemical separation equipment. You will be responsible for developing sales for the Division`s Products in the following areas: France, French-speaking Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and some parts of North Africa. In addition, you will be prospecting and developing the customer portfolio in a specific region to achieve a predefined volume of orders each year.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years in the B2B industry, ideally in the chemical or mining and minerals sector, environmental engineering.
  • Good knowledge of the range of equipment, industry environment, and processes (chemical industry)
  • Experience in a company related to the chemical industry (Sales of Industrial Equipment in the sector, activity in operations, etc)
  • Educational Background as a Process Engineer, Mechanic, or Generalist
  • Good knowledge of the internal constraints (SCAP / Quality / CRM /…)
  • Ability to ask questions to identify and understand customer needs
  • Ability to use internal tools (CRM, online approval, etc.)
  • Know how to size equipment
  • Ability to develop and maintain customer relations
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Fluent English and Fluent French is a must
  • Ability to travel 30% - 40% (Mainly to France, French-speaking Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and Western Sahara)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identification of market needs
  • Prospecting new customers
  • Regular visits to the client portfolio
  • Presence at specialized fairs

 

  • Transmission of technical and commercial offers for the supply of products and services in line with customer needs as well as their follow-up

 

  • Collection from customers of all the elements necessary for the realization of offers
  • Transmission of elements to the Backoffice for the preparation of offers and follow-up of the delivery of the offer on the date agreed with the client
  • Follow-up on the status of offers during visits and/or telephone calls to customers
  • Update the CRM and reporting (Orders and margins)

 

  • Technical and commercial negotiations of contracts in line with the contractual impositions of the company
  • Identification of the beginning of the purchasing decision period
  • Preparation of the negotiation strategy (Cost sheet, price, and margin negotiation range, technical argument
  •  Mobilization of resources when needed (Product manager, process manager, or business engineer)
  • Technical and commercial negotiation in meetings or by phone. -Realization of requests for approval in case of deviation from the company’s taxation
  • Validation of contract drafts from clients
  • Organization of order launch meetings with business engineers in the case of important and/or complex cases
