The SAP Basis and HANA expert will be responsible for managing and maintaining the SAP system landscape, ensuring high availability and performance of SAP applications, and providing technical support for SAP Basis and HANA related issues. The position requires extensive knowledge and experience in SAP Basis administration, HANA database administration, and operating system administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP Basis and HANA systems.
- Monitor and maintain the SAP system landscape, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage and troubleshoot issues related to SAP Basis and HANA, including system performance, backups, restores, and security.
- Implement and maintain SAP system security, including user administration, role management, and authorization concepts.
- Provide technical support for SAP Basis and HANA-related issues.
- Hands-on HANA experience with performance tuning, thread sample analysis, etc.
- Work closely with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of SAP systems with other enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to SAP Basis and HANA administration.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of new SAP projects and upgrades.
- Implement automation utilizing cloud native technologies for infrastructure and configuration management.
- Available for on-call and off-hour work if/when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis and HANA administration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration, including system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HANA database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated process automation experience.
- Experience in operating system administration, preferably Linux.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture and integration with other enterprise systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Hands-on ci/cd pipeline using git repository a plus.
- Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible experience a plus.
- SAP Basis and HANA certification is a plus.
- Cloud certification (AWS or Azure) is a plus
