Airswift is currently looking for Senior Contracts Engineer to work with our Client O&G Operator.

Starting date: September
Location: Milan from September till +/- December 2023 then Afungi in rotation 28/28
Duration: 12 months renewable contract

TASK TO BE PERFORMED:

The Job holder liaises with Partner entities and participates to the processes of contracts and procurement entity by performing the following tasks:

Work closely with the DUET to create the contracts dossier, develop a clear definition of contractual responsibilities and discuss the agenda
Liaise with C&P Methods/planning/market and C&P Manager for reporting and statistics matters
Keep informed of best practices in contracts procedures for improvement of contracts practices in TEPMA1

The job holder executes the following contracts activities

Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors/suppliers/potential tenders/contracts with updated information in order to perform market studies; analyze and assess all possible answers from the market
Participate to the validation of the contracts strategy
Conduct the Terms & Conditions bid analysis and negotiation
Conduct the commercial bid analysis and negotiation thereby creating a clear definition of responsibilities and documents together with the DUET
Participate in recommendations to award through contracts Committees or DOA award validation and tracing of tender documents
Input all contracts/suppliers data/documents in the contracts and suppliers database
Monitor on- with the Duet

To manage procurement processes delivering best quality in time and at the optimal cost for TEPMA1
To participate in the improvement of procurement practices

To successfully prepare, negotiate and administer a broad range of complex, technical and high value/risk purchases

QUALIFICATION AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
C&P competencies

Intermediate level in Purchasing Technical Competencies required
C&P tools advanced certification required
Good command of English language

Qualification and background

Diploma:
International Experience Required: Yes No
Professional experience : 6-7 years (Minimum 2 years in technical contracts domain) with exposure on operations
Personal Abilities: Advanced Management, Advanced Human Relations, Problem Solving and Planning / organizing / coordinating / controlling, general knowledge and understanding of commercial, legal and insurance issues affecting the company in general. Customer-oriented, intermediate negotiation skills

Good communication, organizational skills, capabilities to take workload & work under pressure, able to work in a multicultural and cross-functional environment

CONTEXT:
Mozambique LNG is emerging as a future leader in the global LNG industry as it works to develop an LNG facility on the Afungi peninsula in Cabo Delgado province. The job holder works in a multidisciplinary Contract and Procurement environment (exploration, drilling, development, work in sea and land, informatics, telecommunications) in an international environment and in a local content environment all at once.
Lack or untimely delivery of materials or services whatever its value may have important production and financial consequences. A good understanding of the local
industrial background enables judicious choices for foreign or local purchasing.
