Airswift we are currently seeking for Senior Cost Analyst supporting team and business requirements with Major operator in Energy Industry. All candidates can be considering preferent Oil and Gas experience.
  • Initial Contract 12 month   + extension depending on performance.

Job Description:
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Senior Cost Analyst based in Perth, WA reporting to the Project Controls Manager.

The purpose of this role is to support the entire cost control effort on a project, a work program or a significant portion of large projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Setup and implementation of cost control tools and systems as per company standards, guidelines or approved project execution plan. 
  • Review and align and Client cost control and financial systems interface for data transfer and reporting as applicable.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work within a team environment or autonomously as required.
  • Handle a demanding work environment.
  • Experience in development, management, and forecasting of multi-currency reports and tools.
  • Prepare cost, time and resources (CTR) estimates for proposals.
  • Establish manhour and cost budgets from the services estimate.
  • Monitor and record expended manhours and apply contract rates to establish project costs.
  • Produce forecasts and estimates to complete for services in conjunction with the project team and produce the services cost report.
  • Monitor and forecast services costs, income and contract margin.
  • Establish the capital cost budget from the estimate in accordance with the project WBS.
  • Allocate budget to purchase orders and contracts and capture committed, actual, and forecast costs.
  • Manage the allocation and drawdown of project contingency and escalation in accordance with the project contingency and escalation models.
  • Use earned value performance measurement metrics for analysis and reporting.
  • Analyse sub-consultant and vendor budgets by working with project teams.
  • Produce the project capital cost report.
  • Provide as requested special studies and reports such as cash flow projection, foreign exchange variations, overseas transportation, customs duty, logistics etc.
  • Establish and manage the project change control process.
  • Perform Cost analysis; evaluating and reporting of cost deviation / trends and assess the cost risks and provide mitigation plan in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders as necessary for effective cost management.
  • Participate in project risk reviews and lesson learnt sessions.
  • Periodically review project budget accruals and expenditure.
  • Awareness of security in the workplace, particularly with respect to management of sensitive information / maintain confidentiality.
  • Complete the project financial close-out, archiving retention documents and develop cost historical data.
Candidate criteria:
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Cost Analysis 
  • Bachelor of Engineering or other appropriate degree OR significant Project cost management experience gained in some other capacity in line with AACEI principals
  • Experience with structured cost control software, with preference being Ecosys
  • Familiar with the application of Work, Cost and Organisational Breakdown Structures
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of the industry and is able to use this to add value in structuring the cost control system, identifying cost issues, preparing forecasts, and interacting with the client and project team.
  • Worked in a Senior Cost capacity, delivery projects or programs of work for a significant time of your career.
