About our client and project
The client is an engineering consultancy that specialises in providing a full suite of electrical, instrumentation, and controls (EIC) engineering services for studies and projects to meet the engineering needs of clients who operate in the resource, mining, and processing industries.

They are looking to add a seasoned E&IC Engineer with strong Controls technical design skills and advisory services to the team to collaborate on a major Nickle project. Based in Belmont, Western Australia, the role will be offered as a full time, permanent position. What you’ll be doing
  • Responsible for production of E& I design deliverables, ensuring client deadlines are met.
  • Evaluates design risks and impacts affecting schedules.
  • Organizes, executes and delivers projects within agreed budget and schedule.
  • Provides technical support to designers and coordinate with engineers across multiple disciplines.
  • Provide technical guidance to delivery team involved in the delivery of an assignment.
  • Assess and manage team performance.
  • Project status reporting and preparation and review of technical reports.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer Australia status (preferably).
  • 8 years of post-graduate experience, with 4 years in mineral processing.
  • Experienced in advanced control systems, including DCS (not just PLCs), with strong expertise in Yokogawa or Emerson technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards.
  • Experience in design documentation, operation, construction/commissioning and general engineering of mineral processing or chemical facilities.
  • Experience must include study, front end engineering design (FEED), detailed design, and site construction experience
  • Excellent formal written and verbal communication skills.
