Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our clients team and work on a major renewables project in Perth, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical engineering services that meet our clients’, its customers', and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget. They will also initiate, manage and supervise electrical engineering project requirements, as well as perform various other electrical engineering services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical engineering services that meet the specifications of our customer, its clients, and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Initiate, manage and if required supervise Electrical engineering projects.
- Undertake electrical engineering services such as attending meetings, preparing progress reports, and complying with required checking procedures.
- Ensure that the project scope is clear, and any changes adhere to the project change management processes.
- Offer assistance and guidance during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, such as preparing requisitions, carrying out technical bid evaluations, and writing purchase orders.
- Proactively resolve discrepancies between our client and its customers' requirements.
- Identify problems and issues, develop suitable solutions, and seek assistance when needed.
- Supervise and mentor junior mechanical engineering staff.
- Recognised bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering for the energy, power, or renewables industry.
- Familiarity with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements in Western Australia.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to initiate, manage, and supervise electrical engineering project requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Knowledge of the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
