The Client and Project:
Our client is a leading global EPCM, they are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Northern Territory on a pivotal initiative aimed at delivering innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
The Role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of electrical packages. This involves providing proactive technical engineering support, quality site supervision, and managing multidisciplinary engineering activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the successful execution of projects by applying knowledge across engineering, procurement, and quality control.
- Manage the quality of installation and apply change management practices.
- Communicate effectively with the engineering team to ensure project design deliverables and design quantities are managed on-site.
- Review and manage contractor and vendor documentation for efficient contract closeout.
- Develop action plans to address project tasks and issues.
- Understand Project Control Reports and identify problem areas.
- Ensure project technical execution complies with design intent and documentation requirements.
- Act as the coordination interface with construction contractors, vendors, and the engineering team to meet client expectations.
- Ensure project conformity with the client's approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- A recognised engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Eligible for Chartered Engineering status.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent health and safety outcomes.
- Experience in EPCM projects, particularly in the execution phase.
- Experience in EI&C project execution, site administration, technical engineering support, and coordination of contractor activities.
- Sound understanding of electrical commissioning.
- Proven experience in package management on similar-sized projects.
- Ability to make independent decisions and set priorities related to complex situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
