About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll deliver safe, fit-for-purpose electrical engineering services and work on transformative initiatives, including green energy and decarbonization projects. This role offers opportunities to work across multiple projects, lead teams, and drive technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical engineering services compliant with statutory, regulatory, and client standards.
- Perform and oversee engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Lead or support safety assessments such as HAZID/HAZOPs.
- Prepare engineering estimates, including scoping, assumptions, and resource planning.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Manage technical tasks as a project lead, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (Australian-recognized).
- Minimum 10 years’ consultancy experience, with 8+ years in oil and gas or allied industries.
- Active Hazardous Area Certification.
Preferred:
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
Technical Expertise Includes:
- Brownfield interfaces, HV/LV systems, power distribution, and electrical calculations.
- Power system studies (load flow, fault levels, motor starting, etc.).
- Site experience: inspections, FATs, SATs, and commissioning.
- Proficiency in design drawings, schedules, and specifications.
