About our client and project
A leading provider of engineering consulting services, offering expertise across the entire project life cycle through five business units: Infrastructure, Water, Buildings, Environmental Services, and Energy & Resources.

The role 

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior/ Lead Civil Engineer to lead a team and manage a portfolio of sustaining capital projects in the mining, ports, and non-process infrastructure (NPI) sectors. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will play a key role in delivering innovative and high-quality engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.


What you’ll be doing
  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, particularly in ports, NPI, and mining infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to civil engineering teams, fostering collaboration and professional development.
  • Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Utilize MicroStation and other engineering design software to create detailed engineering plans and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and efficient execution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, particularly in mining infrastructure and civil design.
     
What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in mining infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering sustaining capital projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
