Senior Mechanical (Piping) Designer

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical (Piping) Designer to join their dynamic team in Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major iron ore project, with a focus on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.

Key Details:

  • Location: Perth
  • Duration: initial 12 month contract 
  • Reporting to: Mechanical Piping Department Manager

Responsibilities:

Senior Mechanical (Piping) Designer to join a large multidisciplinary project team based in Perth, CBD.

Requirements:

  • Working on large-scale iron ore mining project, development of piping arrangements, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, and material take-offs
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a team and independently
  • Ability to quickly understand and follow processes and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Piping and Mechanical design
  • Overland piping design in the mining industry
  • Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Associate Degree
  • Proficiency and working experience with MicroStation
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly
  • A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience from EPCM Environment ideal
