Senior Project Engineer required for a Long-Term Contract or Permanant Contract. 

Qualifications 
  • Degree qualified to Bachelor or Masters level in Engineering, Naval Architecture or a similar discipline.
Training 
  • BOSIET – preferred but not mandatory 
  • CA-EBS – preferred but not mandatory - MSIC – preferred but not mandatory - Engineers Australia membership - preferred but not essential -
  • Recognised project management qualification - preferred but not essential
Essential experience 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Relevant experience in a similar role 
  • Exposure to subsea survey, inspection and maintenance operations
  • Exposure to subsea construction operations
Duties 
  • Provide expert technical knowledge to the engineering team covering a range of offshore and subsea engineering, installation, inspection, maintenance, repair and operation knowledge. 
  • Work with Project Managers and others to generate CTRs and Engineering Task Descriptions to define the work needed to be conducted for specific scopes. -
  • Generate engineering calculations, reports, specifications, procedures and engineered solutions in a timely manner to meet internal and external requests and any other project specific requirements
  • Develop, in conjunction with CAD designers, all the required layout drawings, detail drawings, schematics and lists of materials necessary to support the engineering work.
  • Work closely with other Engineers to ensure a consistent overall approach to projects and all other works completed with the discipline area.
  • Manage external engineering companies or other Engineering resources within different parts of the MMA organisation which may be utilised to carry out work for projects conducted by the Perth / Singapore offices.
  • Be able to work within an engineering / drafting team which is spread between the Perth and Singapore Offices.
  • Guide and mentor other engineers to assist in skill knowledge development across the Engineering Team
  • Provide office based technical support to offshore operations as required on installation and IRM projects during project execution phase. 
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge and understanding of relevant technology and standards/regulatory advances within the offshore energy industry -
  • Ensure that design work is conducted in line with client and regulatory standards and guidelines and with consideration for HSEQ, schedule and budget requirements -
  • Compile and maintain equipment lists.

  • Oversee Document issuance and receipt (control)
Operational 
  • Undertake offshore and site-based works as required during project execution phase.
