The Senior Project Manager is primarily responsible for providing project management support in preparing and executing engineering and construction projects and managing associated contractors. They work closely with Business Development to ensure projects progress appropriately through the Capital Value Process (CVP). They provide leadership in the execution of work, including defining work scope, engineering & construction specifications, permitting activities, managing engineering consultants and construction management services, as well as overseeing cost reporting controls and construction scheduling for new projects. Positions available in Houston, TX and Petal, MS. Intermittent travel required to project sites as deemed necessary and occasionally to business related locations to support project needs.

Manages vendors/contractors to ensure they deliver the value and services for which they have been contracted.

Monitors and supports the implementation of project controls to ensure project costs, schedule and scope are met.

In collaboration with project engineering provides expert level input to the technical review process to ensure designs are consistent and within established guidelines.

Proficiency
Sound working knowledge of project quality management systems and applicable codes and standards for design and engineering purposes.
Strong technical management abilities with effective project management and leadership skills possessing initiative, decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, identify issues, recommend, develop, and implement solutions.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of construction techniques and practices in the natural gas industries.
Ability to organize, plan, control, coordinate, and effectively manage cross-functional assignments and projects.
Ability to manage construction activities and control projects in order to achieve time, budget and quality metrics.
