Role & responsibilities
To carry out structural analysis of offshore structures
- Planning and execution of various analyses related to fixed jacket type offshore structures in concept studies, FEED, Detail engineering and re-assessment/life extension projects.
- Analysis of ships and offshore mobile/floating related to concept studies, new builds, conversions, retrofits, pre-service assessments, life extensions, re-deployments, decommissioning etc.
- To be well versed in design concepts of offshore structures, related design codes, engineering assessments, calculations, procedures etc.
- The analysis shall include various assessments related to pre-service conditions, in-service conditions, fatigue, accidental conditions, life extension etc.
- Perform first principal engineering calculations for structural design
- Prepare engineering analysis reports.
- QC checks of engineering deliverables
- Degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or naval architecture; Degree (Civil, Structural, Mech, Naval Arch)
- Experience within Finite Element Modelling and analyses.
- Experience in in place, preservice, fatigue, non-linear analyses of offshore structures in SACS software
- Experience in offshore hull structures/ship structures is an advantage.
