SerDes Circuit Design Lead
Summary
We are looking for a SerDes Circuit Design Lead for a leading consumer electronics manufacturing MNC.The role sits in Singapore and will be working and leading the SerDes design team in IP development, innovation in SERDES architecture and design to improve the performance, power and areas of current designs.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide Technical Leadership to SERDES design team in IP development to meet product requirement and timeline.
- Build on the SERDES architecture and designs to improve performance and power on existing designs. (RX, TX, CDR, Bias, Clock Generation)
- Collaboration with Multi-Functional Teams for requirements. (Modelling, Packaging, DFT, ESD etc.)
- Design/Verification of assigned IP-Blocks, deriving block level specification based on link-budget, behavioral modelling and transistor feasibility, and conducting design reviews with the team.
- Providing technical support during pilot testing and runs.
- Leadership : Coaching and Guiding SERDES team members on project planning / IP development / technical development / Industry Trends , developing the team to become competent in SERDES and IP development.
Job Qualifications
- Master and PhD from Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- At least 10 years’ experience in SERDES IP Architecture & Design with strong knowledge in all key building blocks of the IP.
- Possess team leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of analog CMOS designs and topologies.
- Deep knowledge in high-speed SerDes protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, SATA, etc.).
- Deep experience with Tx & Rx equalization techniques and circuits.
- Deep experience in analyzing link jitter budget for high-speed serial links and creating block level requirements.
- Strong knowledge of different CDR architectures.
- Have solid planar and FINFET layout design knowledge.
- Possess strong hands-on experience in design verification & post layout simulation.
- Ability to converse in mandarin is required.
