Service Engineer, Temperature Control

Airswift is seeking to invite Service Engineers to join an established and well-respected client within the engine and power generator set industry with one of our multinational clients who are the number one global leader in their field of temperature control.

As part of the company’s growth and commitment to Southeast Asia, our client is currently looking for new Service Engineers who will help expand and improve their service offering in the region.

Service Engineers are an essential part of the company’s operations who contribute to the important work of mechanical or electrical installation tasks in support of new and existing Temperature Control machinery (this will include equipment such as Chillers, Aircon, Air handlers, dehumidifiers, pumps and heat exchangers).

They will need to troubleshoot machinery failure or breakdown (mechanical and electrical) and to perform remedial action with minimum supervision. Knowing how to design and set up a temporary HVAC system based on site conditions will be an added advantage.

The role does involve travel which includes allowances and bonuses depending on the circumstances. This travel could be offshore or onshore, and elsewhere within Southeast Asia.

To succeed in the role you will need:

Relevant technical education with at least a qualification in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering.
On-site and hands-on experience with temperature control equipment like water or air cooled chillers, cooling towers, air conditioners, AHUs and water pumps.
An excellent customer service attitude who always places the client first.
Good communication in written and spoken English.
You MUST be either a Singaporean citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore. We are not able to sponsor foreign work passes for this role.

Airswift is seeking a seeking a Principal Project Controls professional to join our client in Charlotte, NC an initial four-year contract basis. Strong P6 Scheduling experience is a must!

This is the expert level of the Project Controls classification hierarchy. Workers at this level lead the development of the reporting systems for project controls assignments. They perform complex aspects of individual project estimating, scheduling, change documentation and cost control while reporting up to program or portfolio level as well as trains and teaches other members of PC organization with minimal oversight and wide latitude for unreviewed work. They are also expected to have advanced skills and can work independently. This position typically is assigned to projects classified as “Brown” or "Black" per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix which typically range from $100M to greater than $500M with a high level of complexity.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from a four-year college or university - business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of project controls experience.
Minimum of 11 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree.
Expert in project controls principles and procedures.
Expertise / Mastery with project management / project controls concepts / computer applications / analytics; employee development; strong collaborative team member; oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters - business, finance, project management, or equivalent.
PMI or AACE certification (the following or equivalent are acceptable - PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP).
Extensive knowledge of software such as Primavera P6, MS Power BI, MS Office Suite, Business Objects, MS Project, Prolog, Passport, Visio, Powerplant, Emax, PeopleSoft. Risk management tools / Monte Carlo analysis.

Our client is seeking an Environmental Specialist to work within their facilities located in Charlotte, NC for a 1-year assignment.
This professional will be responsible for evaluating federal, state, and local environmental permitting requirements, and gaining required permits, specifically sediment and erosion control/stormwater preparation plans (SWPPP) and stormwater permitting for transmission capital project work concerning regulated electric transmission substations and lines.
Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing functional direction in preparing and obtaining environmental, erosion control / stormwater, and construction permits for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
Provide compliance assurance support to the Transmission Construction team that ongoing projects are in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Serve on project teams, attend meetings, and site visits, and develop permitting scope and schedule for variety of projects.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of permitting regulations and compliance requirements and their impact to Transmission projects.
Work with minimal supervision to determine and develop approaches to design and permitting issues.
Serves as environmental permitting expert for capital Transmission projects and collaborate with multiple work groups to provide specialized technical design expertise and judgment to resolve complex permitting issues.
Maintain project schedules and accountability for meeting specified schedules for permitting tasks.
Track project schedules and tasks.
Closeout of permits, including coordination with agencies, once construction is complete.
Develop processes, find efficiencies / improvements, and maintain appropriate permit records.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or other related field of study

Ten years of experience supporting site civil and/or land development environmental permitting within multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
Experience preparing erosion control plan drawings, stormwater permits, and obtaining plan approval from NC DEQ/ SC DHEC.
Excellent negotiating skills with regulators and the public regarding the environmental permitting of land development projects.

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to work within their facilities located in Plainfield, IN, for a 12-month assignment.

The Project Manager will be under the general direction of a Sr. Project Manager. This position is responsible for the management of all phases of project planning and execution to ensure all project success factors are met, including but not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. In addition, this position is highly involved in the funding management and budgeting of the project / program responsible. Responsibilities:

Structure, lead, and/or assist in leading all project related meetings and reports required to ensure open communication between all team members, key stakeholders, and management (regular project reviews, kickoff meetings, weekly reports & monthly reports) and to properly report project status.
Assure that Project Plan, all appropriate reports, and reporting means are developed and managed according to PMCoE Standards.
Drive the process of project planning including scope definition, estimating, schedule formation and monitoring, cost control measures, procurement/contracting strategies, equipment selection, vendor selection, start-up and commissioning plans, and integration processes.
Execute activities like scope definition, detailed design, construction, start-up and commissioning, turnover to operations, and warranty management.
Manage all matrixed members of the team daily and is assure all project deliverables (KPIs) are being met.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical field.
Experience in lieu of degree 16+ Years
10+ Years of Transmission Project Management experience executing both New & Rebuild/Expansion of Substations & Transmission Lines.
PMP Certification Preferred

Preferred Skills:

Utility Experience.
Construction Management knowledge.
Expertise to Strong Expertise in project related Scheduling, Cost Controls, Quality, Risk, Primavera (P6) scheduling.
Advanced knowledge/experience in Microsoft office products including OneNote, SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel Pivot Tables
