This role is a 12-month contract role with the expectation for it to be extended for a further 12 months. They are flexible with their Hybrid model and would be expected to be in the office 1-2 days a week and 1 week out of the month they need people in for 2 days. The role will be based of a day rate that we can discuss further.
The role
The purpose of the EV Delivery Engineer role is to contribute to building a world-class high power charging business through securing grid connections in a cost-efficient way. This includes playing an interface role between contractors, manufacturers, DNOs, and the company's teams.
Where do you fit in
Success is ensuring predictable readiness to commence execution and operation, developing, and maintaining a strong and beneficial working relationship with all of the relevant stakeholders including the DNO/DSO’s while achieving the most efficient price setter position through obtaining grid connections at reasonable prices and in a timely manner to support the project schedule requirements.
Requirements:
- Large scale project management experience, managing multiple sites
- Very strong communication skills, the role will require constant communication with multiple teams
- Has worked in a flexible work environment with changing project processes
Nice to have:
- Experience with electrical engineering (More so you understand language, is not a technical role)
- Any knowledge of EV charging points would be desirable
- Infrastructure experience

Overview
As a leading global provider of engineering, procurement and construction management expertise to the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors we are proud to be in a position to expand our UK team and have partnered with Airswift to support our recruitment plans in 2023.
We are currently recruiting for a Project Quality Engineer to support a major EPCm to design, procure, build and support the commissioning for the Northvolt US2 Battery Gigafactory Project based in Skelleftea, Sweden. The successful individual will be engaged on a PAYE contract basis, with an expected duration of 2-3 years’ work on the project.
Project Background
Our project will establish a large-scale lithium-ion battery factory in the Sweden (the “Battery Factory”). The Battery Factory will manufacture batteries for consumer and industrial products, including electric vehicles and solutions for energy storage systems. The Next Generation Upstream expansion is aimed at increasing the production of Cathode Active Material (CAM) for processing into battery cells in the different Downstream buildings. The first phase of the site is set to produce its first batteries by the end of 2022. The present scope of works concerns the expansion of the site to further enhance the battery production from 16 GWh to 61 GWh. In terms of CAM, the expansion takes the first phase production of 25,800 tonnes per annum to approximately 98,000 tonnes per annum.
Essential:
- Experience in a Project Quality Team.
- QMS Experience, preferable in the EPCM Construction projects.
- Experience of process and system auditing, preferably in the EPCM Construction projects.
- Good knowledge of management systems, including ISO 9001, and its application to Projects.
- Good knowledge of the EU Regulation requirements including the Pressure Equipment Regulations.
- Significant experience in the EPCM Construction projects (or similar).
- Held/holding a Senior Quality Engineer Position.
- Lead training and technical development of Quality Trainees/Practitioners/Engineers.
Desirable:
- IRCA Registered Lead Assessor.

Senior Controls Cost Analyst
Airswift is looking for a Senior Controls Cost Analyst to join one of our major utility clients in Charlotte, NC on a three-year contract basis. This will be a full-time hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in the office. Business expenses will be covered if traveling. Overtime is allowed when necessary.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for performing complex aspects of individual project estimating, scheduling, change documentation and cost control while reporting up to program or portfolio level with minimal supervision.
- Expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues.
- Fully competent in the use of project control principles and procedures.
- Identify problems, develop solutions, and take action to resolve them.
- This position typically is assigned to projects classified as Green III or Brown per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix or may manage multiple smaller (i.e. Green II) projects.
- Graduation from a four-year college or university - business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent minimum of 5 years of project controls experience.
- Minimum of 9 years of project control experience in lieu of a degree. (if you don’t have a degree
- Proficient in project control principles.
- Proficiency Expertise with project management, project controls concepts, computer applications, and analytics; strong collaborative team member.
