Maintenance/Turnaround Planner - Lake Charles, LA
This is a long-term contract opportunity through end of 2023. Candidates who need a per diem will be considered.
Qualifications •High School diploma or equivalent required •While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat/bend, push/pull; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear •The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs •Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus |
Responsibilities •This position is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient and environmentally sound routine and turnaround planning/scheduling of manpower, materials, and services required in the troubleshooting, repair, preventative and predictive maintenance, and execution of established contract strategies, as well as, driving the continuous improvement of plant asset reliability •Demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety •Ensure all maintenance activities within the assigned work area are conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner •Drive improved productivity, quality of work, and cost control in area of responsibility •Coordinate work performed by outside contractors and/or other maintenance service organizations •Support the overall management and execution of the maintenance effort in assigned area •Ensure adherence to the established work management process •Provide oversight and coordination for all planning, scheduling and execution of routine, turnaround and outage maintenance work within the assigned work area •Support Maintenance Superintendent with cost analysis & improvement plans •Support Maintenance Superintendent with development and execution of the upcoming Turnaround •Responsible for assisting in the development and execution of established contracting strategies •Provide an additional interface between operations, reliability engineering and maintenance contractors •Assist with technical training and mentoring of mechanics on area equipment and systems •Assist with review of specifications on new equipment and systems to assure that maintenance requirements are met •Support and carry out company policies and adherence to maintenance standards and procedures •Other duties as assigned |
