Airswift is seeking for a Valve Workshop Instrument Inspector to work with our client based in Qatar. 
  • Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
  • Location: Qatar Site
  • Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 12 hours per day or as per project requirements.
  • Contract duration: 3 months
Job Overview: The Valve Workshop Instrument Inspector is responsible for witnessing the inspection, testing, and calibration of control valves and related instrumentation within a workshop environment, ensuring that all activities meet the required standards and specifications, including IEC 60534-4. This role is crucial for maintaining high safety and quality standards and requires daily coordination with the Instruments Execution Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assurance & Witnessing:
    • Serve as an assurance person, witnessing the inspection, testing, and calibration activities performed by the workshop personnel.
    • Ensure that all tests and inspections meet the specified requirements, industry standards, and IEC 60534-4.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Strictly adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations during all tasks.
    • Ensure that all work complies with industry standards and follows established quality control plans.
 
  • Coordination & Reporting:
    • Coordinate daily inspection and witnessing activities with the Instruments Execution Lead.
    • Provide detailed reports on witnessed inspection and testing activities to the Instrumentation Technical Authority Lead.
  • Maintenance & Overhaul Expertise:
    • Possess experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of control valves, including the coordination and oversight of valve overhauls to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education:
    Diploma or above in Instrumentation Technology or a related field.
  • Experience:
    A minimum of 10 years of experience in control valve inspection, instrumentation, and maintenance within the oil & gas sector.
  • Certifications:
    Relevant certifications such as Comp Ex, API 598, or equivalent.
  • Technical Standards Knowledge:
    Familiarity with IEC 60534-4 standards and their application in control valve inspection and testing.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and calibration tools.
