Our client, an Oil & Gas company, is seeking a Warehouse Technician to work a 1-year contract in Sherwood Park, AB.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Supply Chain Management (SCM), with a specific focus on materials management. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory processes, including counting, shipping, and receiving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in material counts and records.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving processes, including the inspection and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Support materials management processes, ensuring efficient and effective handling of goods.
  • Utilize inventory management systems and software to track and report on inventory status.
  • Operate forklifts, skid steers, and telehandlers for material handling (certification provided if required).

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM).
  • Experience with material master data and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of SAP is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of fundamental materials management processes, including inventory counting, shipping, and receiving.
  • Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
  • Valid skid steer and telehandler certification preferred; training and certification will be provided if necessary.
