Our client is seeking a Water Technical Engineer/Lead to work within their facilities located in Spring, TX on a 1-year assignment (with the possibility of extension depending on performance).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project engineers and execution engineers.
  • Review and approve changes to design packages, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project engineers to receive standard design packages and customize them with execution engineers.
  • Oversee mechanical designs related to water pipelines and ensure they meet operational needs.
  • Support the operations team with technical expertise on water systems and pipeline management.
  • Conduct site tours and familiarize stakeholders with water infrastructure and project locations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on water pipeline projects, offering mentorship and expertise to junior engineers.
  • Ensure project designs align with operational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in project planning and execution to ensure mechanical aspects of water systems are implemented effectively.
  • Provide technical input to improve efficiency and safety in water pipeline operations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • 10–15 years of experience in engineering, with significant experience in water systems and pipeline design.
  • Expertise in mechanical systems related to water pipelines, familiarity with operations and project execution.
  • Strong technical knowledge in water pipeline infrastructure and project design.
  • Experience reviewing and approving engineering designs and modifications.
  • Ability to mentor and lead a team of engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, and operations teams.
  • Previous experience in a water-related industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Work Schedule: 5/40 – Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
