to work on a 1-year contract in the Paris area for one of the biggest companies in the Oil&Gas industry!
These are some of the responsibilities you'll have:
- Develop new/upgraded existing process equipment (for welding, NDT, FJC) to satisfy new requirements coming from projects or from market.
- Interact with all operational roles in order to catch needs and propose consequent solutions for new or upgraded equipment.
- Fully understand the issue to be solved deepening the process and equipment constraints.
- Define a range of possible solutions, interacting with colleagues and/or external suppliers.
- Perform technology scouting, that is, investigate and eventually test new technologies that could solve a specific issue.
- Fully understand the real operative conditions (available space to install/maintain, usability) in which the process equipment has to work.
- Estimate a budget for each proposed solution.
- Coordinate a feasibility study if it's required or recommended.
- Write down the technical specification of what is required to start a procurement request.
- Perform technical follow up of the order to supplier, requiring modifications or approving what is proposed by the supplier.
- Perform the training to operators, once the equipment is ready to be taken into production, and direct follow up of initial working period on board.
- Supervise the installation on board of assigned equipment.
- In specific cases, prepare the detailed engineering related to mechanical and/or electrical items of a given equipment.
- Good knowledge of pipeline construction and equipment.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
o Thermo-welding processes of polymers;
o Welding technologies, equipment and tools;
o Coating technologies, equipment and tools; - Demonstrable Experience with equipment design, with particular attention on Maintenance and Health and safety operability criteria.
- Confident with digital design softwares such as Autocad/Inventor/Solidworks or similar.
- Good level of Microsoft package.
- Fluent technical and conversational English mandatory.
