We are seeking a Replacement Housing Officer – Construction Management professional to work within the EACOP project on a long-term contract assignment!
The Replacement Housing Officer (Site Supervision) will conduct the following general activities:
  • Site supervision of new house construction activities, producing daily and weekly summaries of progress.
  • Oversee and supervise day to day operations of contractor(s), ensuring adherence to approved specifications, standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate contractor(s) site activities to ensure efficient and safe progress of the construction activities.
  • In coordination with the Replacement Housing Lead, act as an EACOP site representative to the Replacement
  • Housing Contractor(s) and to ensure that the construction process and schedule is aligned with Company
  • schedule and program
  • Ensure that any schedule impacts associated with the Replacement Housing Construction process are reported in a timely manner and mitigation measures are developed and implemented to avoid schedule or budget impacts;
  • Liaise with construction contractor to ensure timely site mobilization of personnel and equipment (follow-up on project documentation and required mobilization activities)
  • Preparation of site work documentation/templates both for internal project use and for contractor use (progress reports, quantities reports, deficiency lists etc.)
  • Assistance when required, to the Company architect and the contractor in their preparation of documentation for the building permit applications
  • To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required.
The Replacement Housing Officer will conduct the following specific activities:
  • Organise, perform and record a full audit of pre-site conditions with involved contractor(s), (site conditions
  • report with photographic documentation)
  • Identify any potential constructability problems at the site and assist Replacement Housing Lead and the contractor(s) in implementing strategies to avoid or prevent any issues from having a negative impact on
  • safety, quality, project schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors to ensure the smooth day to day operation of work activities at the construction sites, monitor and inspect all the construction works to ensure that the quality of materials and workmanship adhere to project designs and specifications.
  • Report to Replacement Housing Lead on all requests for change (RFC) to scope of work, ensure traceability of all RFCs (whether approved or rejected by Replacement Housing Lead)
  • Inspect all bulk materials/components upon delivery for QA/QC purposes, ensuring that all materials/components are as specified in BoQ
  • Witness testing of any materials or processes (i.e. compaction tests, cube tests, electrical commissioning etc.) to be used in the works as specified in the contract documents.
  • Ensure that the project is executed in compliance with all local and National regulations
  • Coordinate with Replacement Housing Lead on all request for information (RFI’s) requests to architect,
  • consulting engineer or to Company to ensure a timely response to contractor(s).
  • Maintain a good understanding of all architectural drawings, structural drawings and all associated
  • specifications.
  • Attend Contractor(s) Daily Site meetings and Toolbox talks, overview of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) site conditions
  • Monitor site personnel for adherence of safety procedures ensure that the project safety standards are always carried out, report all incidents to EACOP HSE representative and Replacement Housing Lead
  • Maintain site records according to the established reporting requirements including progress of works, work
  • site conditions, daily weather conditions, delays, issuance of site instructions, RFI’s, RFC, site labour count, visitors to sites.
  • Submit daily field reports to Replacement Housing Lead, covering site issues, inspection findings, overall progress, HSE and any potential risks to construction completion.
  • Take site measurements wherever required, check progress and completion levels, and endorse the Contractor Day Works sheets.
  • Maintain and record all lessons learned to Replacement Housing Lead
  • To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required in the supervision of Contractors within the building and civil works scope
Context:
  • The Replacement Housing Officer will be primarily based within the Replacement House Construction Areas, with the possibility of office missions in Dar Es Salaam.
  • The Replacement Housing Officer will interface with the Compensation Payments Team (Dar Es Salaam + Field), Regional RAP Implementation teams and Social Performance team (Dar Es Salaam + Field) during the delivery of this scope.
Accountabilities:
  • The Replacement Housing Officer, supporting the Replacement Housing Lead is responsible to ensure that the Replacement Housing Contractors meet the delivery schedules as set out by the Contract.
  • The Replacement Housing Officer, supporting the Replacement Housing Lead is responsible to ensure that the Replacement Housing Contractors deliver the associated scope within the required budget as set out in the Contract documents
Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction technology, building construction engineering required.
  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience in general building construction supervision, housing construction, site works, and with general civil infrastructure experience required.
  • Experience in Tanzanian building construction and building legislation, codes and practices required.
  • Experience in Tanzanian building materials, pricing, best practices, and industry norms required.
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines required.
  • Good knowledge of all applicable Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards, Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OSHAS) required.
  • Proven building site supervision and site administration capabilities, QA/QC, estimating and reporting experience required.
  • Proven Building Contractor coordination experience required.
  • Intermediate computing and application skills (Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Microsoft Project) required.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili (written and spoken) required

JOB SCOPE

You will provide electrical engineering services on large or mega projects to our company and our customers', including technical support and supervision within the electrical engineering team. 
 
Responsibilities

  • Liaise with client to determine optimal electrical generation and distribution configuration and lead the team to perform power system studies to validate the design
  • Provide guidance and review of the electrical plant layout, space planning and electrical distribution and equipment layout requirements
  • Liaise with client and procurement team to set up and manage a team of electrical requisition engineers to support as procurement activities for all electrical equipment and support input to other disciplines

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
 
Technical and Industry Experience  
  • 15+ years’ experience of Electrical Engineering
  • Preferably degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering; you should be either a Chartered Engineer or actively pursuing Chartered Engineer status with the appropriate Institute
  • Ability to lead the Electrical discipline on projects including budget & schedule control / monitoring and reporting
  • Proven ability for equipment specification and selection and in ensuring compliance from the suppliers, preferably within an EPC contracting organization including Technical Bid Analysis, Vendor drawing review and attendance at Factory Acceptance Tests
  • Experience in managing fast track projects and dealing with change management on project
  • Experience of work-share execution including working with remote design teams is an advantage
  • Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to our company and clients.
  • Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the electrical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.

Airswift is seeking a Public Lighting Technical Officer to work on a 6-month assignment in Brisbane, QLD with an Infrastructure Company.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for managing our client’s lights in parks and bikeways. This includes regular inspections, management of maintenance program, investigate requests from public, ensure lighting compliance to AS/NZS 1158, conduct lighting audits, resolving lighting faults and implement appropriate lighting solutions. Note repairs, installations and identifying faults is not the responsibility of this role.
Please note, this role will require working one night per week for up to four hours from sunset.

Key Accountabilities
  • Complete all work to Company client procedures, policy and standards and ensuring review of these to maintain effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide technical advice and lighting audits for compliance with P Category lighting installation as per AS/NZS 1158.
  • Knowledge of AS/NZS 1158 Lighting for roads and public spaces pedestrian area (Category P) lighting - Performance and design requirements and AS/NZS 4282 – Control of the obtrusive effects of outdoor lighting.
  • Investigate and resolve requests for public lighting improvement by carrying out site inspections, participating in community consultation, determining required action and advising customers of intended action.
  • Accurately input data and maintain City Lighting Asset registers and carrying out audits of database records and where necessary, take appropriate actions to resolve inaccuracy in the database.

Our client is a well-known service provider with multiple offices across the ANZ region. As a result of ongoing business growth, they are looking for an experienced individual to join their business on a 12-month contract to work on their latest project.

 

The Role

Working alongside client's Senior Network Engineer, you will be working on process control network replacement project. Due to the nature of the project, there will be a combination of design and installation/commissioning work as well. Hence, qualified Communications Technicians are also welcomed to apply.

 

The Individual

From a technical perspective you will have experience with;

  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches
  • Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
  • Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades
  • Investigating faults in the network
  • Updating network equipment
  • Desirable: CCNA or equivalent
  • Desirable: Previous experience working within resources sector
  • Desirable: PCN/OT network experience

Role Description    
  • The primary role of the Asset Civil Inspector is to guard technical integrity and operational availability by planning and executing Civil inspections and as required for repair and construction of Civil assets.
  • The Asset Civil Inspector shall perform the inspections directly unless a specialty contractor is required; where their responsibility will be to coordinate and supervise the work of third parties.
  • The Asset Civil Inspector will work with the site’s Lead Civil Engineer to ensure proper communication is made between Operations and Maintenance for routine and repair inspections and with the Project’s group for new construction. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • coordinating inspection schedules with Operations activities to limit simops
  • requesting Maintenance support to access equipment, briefing stakeholders on inspection results, and adding newly tagged equipment to inspection program documents and the IMS system.
  • The Asset Civil Inspector will enforce safety and integrity goals without compromise. 
  • The Asset Civil Inspector will support the Lead Civil Engineer in developing corrective action plans, budget planning for inspections, tracking condition history, keeping the asset register up to date, updating the Manage Threats and Opportunity (MTO) register, and supporting Quality Assurance (QA) for the Civil discipline.
General Key Activities and Deliverables     
The Asset Civil Inspector is accountable for the following key activities and deliverables: 
  • Planning and execution of inspections; Inspections will include but will not be limited to the following: passive fireproofing, cooling water tower structure/basin, concrete pedestals, bridges, buildings, concrete area paving, concrete structures, flare structures, interceptors, jetties, personnel access facilities, pipe tracks, process/storm drainage systems, railroads, retention ponds, retention walls, roads, secondary containment, and steel structures.
  • Maintaining technical data in the Inspection Management System (IMS)
  • Generate and manage CAIRs (Corrective Action Inspection Requests) for Civil assets which do not meet their functional requirements
  • Oversee and coordinate 3rd party inspections including review of inspection reports
  • Ensure the company approved codes and standards are complied with, through supporting Quality assurance for Maintenance and Capital Projects
Asset Civil Inspector Qualifications     
  • Individual inspecting the Civil assets or supervising the inspection of the Civil assets shall have sufficient experience to properly assess Civil asset conditions. A Qualified Inspector shall meet one or more of the following: 
  • A registered Civil Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in design and maintenance of industrial plants.
  • A non-registered Civil Engineer working under the direct supervision of an experienced and registered Civil Engineer.
  • A Civil Design Technician with a minimum of 10 years of experience in design and maintenance of industrial plants under the direct supervision of an experienced and registered Civil Engineer.
  • A Civil Inspector with a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and maintenance of industrial plants under the direct supervision of an experienced and registered Civil Engineer. 

General Knowledge & Skill Set Requirements    
The Asset Civil Inspector should have the following general knowledge and skills:
  • Knowledge in most or all of the following codes, standards and guidelines: ACI, AISC, ASCE, ASTM, OSHA, NFPA, AREMA (American Railway Engineering & Maintenance-of-Way Association),  ASME B30 (Safety Standards for Monorails & Cranes)
  • Firm understanding of DEP’s (Design Engineering Practice) Civil related specifications, standards, strategies, philosophies, Loss Prevention Principles, procedures and work processes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision of chemical vendors' data entry in Detechtion and verify the quality of data
  • Perform database audits, maintenance, enhancements, and updates as necessary
  • Interface with Integrity Engineers to incorporate corrosion prevention data into the Integrity Management Programs and risk software
  • Interface with the company’s stakeholders to mature Power BI reports with the support of IT Department

  • Support informed decisions involving internal corrosion mitigation requirements, such as corrosion treatment chemical selection, internal coatings, maintenance pigging, cathodic protection, corrosion-resistant materials selection, and internal corrosion monitoring technologies such as coupons, probes, liquid and solid sampling, and develop recommendations on internal corrosion mitigation based on results from inline inspection
  • Support Operational Teams use of third-party contractors as a liaison with contractors/materials suppliers and supply division- or company-wide coordination as necessary
  • Assist in the technical development and mentoring of field-based Corrosion Prevention personnel through routine interactions and providing technical review and support
  • Assist root cause analysis working in conjunction with various Company and third-party personnel
  • Support DOT, state and corporate pre-audits and audits and interface with regulatory agencies
  • Assist evaluating and specifying existing and emerging corrosion control equipment, material, and software technologies
  • Support reviewing integrity testing results for discoveries and comparisons with the Corrosion Prevention Program
  • Stay current with facility and pipeline regulations, industry standards, corrosion prevention and assessment methods, and other applicable technologies
  • Support other initiatives as necessary
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering degree is preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of corrosion prevention experience with facilities and pipelines
  • Competent knowledge in all facets of corrosion prevention with in-depth understanding of including materials selection and design, chemicals, pigging, protective coatings, cathodic protection, corrosion monitoring and prevention, corrosion mechanisms, mitigation techniques, and project support is preferred
  • Working knowledge of the various Federal and State pipeline and facility regulations including corrosion control, integrity management, and industry standards is preferred
  • A high degree of personal organization and self-management
  • Strong initiative to work efficiently with accurate results
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment with strong analytical and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of people, both internal and external to the company including field staff, service contractors, equipment vendors, and cross-discipline professionals for superior results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Outlook), Power BI is preferred
  • Professional Engineering registration and AMPP Internal Corrosion Technologist or Specialist certification are a plus

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Manufacturing Facilities Technician II to join their team located in Richmond, CA for a 6-Month Contract position on a Mon-Fri basis!

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively supports, understands, prioritizes, and applies preventative maintenance methods and processes for maintenance work on mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical plant systems.
  • Spends time with operations group and shares knowledge and standard methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and meet team deadlines while keeping supervisor, workgroup, and other stakeholders advised on a timely basis of any progress updates or work completion.
  • Comfortable with established Management Process & Team workflow.
  • Ensures that maintenance & mechanical work is completed in a timely fashion and per the maintenance process and procedures.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance processes and how they are essential to our day to day operations.
  • Experience with mechanical equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs of plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, etc.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) that centralizes maintenance information and facilitates the processes of maintenance operations.
  • Must have three years or more of apprenticeship or equivalent work experience as a field mechanic in an industrial setting.
  • Vocational school or work training with a focus on the Mechanical Field.
  • Proficient with mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs of plant field equipment such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, valves, and actuators.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the operation of tanks, vessels, exchangers, pumps, compressors, VRU systems, furnace equipment, gas systems, product shipping, cooling system, and quality testing of products, as well as utility and emergency support systems.
