POSITION PURPOSE

Reporting to the Cost Control Lead, the SAP AP Specialist will manage the creation, fulfillment and close out of Purchase Requisitions / Orders for the Pikka Phase 1 project. The position is responsible for generating Purchase Requisitions in the SAP procure-to-pay system in alignment to project procedures and available budgets. Role: Process Safeguarding Review engineer for existing units with specific experience in definition and evaluation of relief scenario for pressure relief valves and actual safety valve sizing calculations for all identified relief scenarios. The Pernis site (Rotterdam) is a great place to work with many learning and development opportunities. It is one of the largest petrochemicals sites in Europe with over 550 hectares (incl. Europoort Terminal) of processing facilities. The site includes the largest refinery asset in Europe, 400,000 bbls/day with high complexity -hydrocracker, cat cracker, HF alkylation, HYCON, visbreakers, gasification units. The site includes several chemical assets: polyols, hydrocarbon solvents, MTBE, DMK, IPA, glycol ethers. On top of that the Pernis site is integrated with the Moerdijk Chemical’s site and underpins significant trading activity.
The process engineering assignment will be both challenging and rewarding and will give you ample opportunities for professional growth and building key experiences in your career.
The Pernis Process Engineering team consist of approx. 25 persons.
The process engineer is working closely together with technology, operations, inspection, business and the project organization. He or she performs a key role in providing support for the production units, giving assurance on the Management of Change process and developing and implementing projects.
Investments in all categories (1-10M, 10-100M, >100M) are being developed in the process engineering team to improve the safety, environmental performance, reliability, and profitability of the Pernis Site. Typically, these investments are focussed on TA planning for various units for the coming years.

The process engineering role consists of the following three categories
1) MOC

• Assurance/approver role in Management of Change process.
• Participate in process safety studies in design, start-up or 5yr review for Safeguarding Memoranda and HAZOP studies.

2) Projects

• Conducting scouting and feasibility studies on proposals from operation.
• Project development (ASSESS/SELECT/DEFINE) in liaison with contractors and ensuring end-result is supported by asset owner. 
• Provide support to construction and start-up.
• Ensure proper implementation and performance when integrated into existing operating units.

3) Unit support 

• Contributing to process integrity of installations and processes to ensure that safe, environmentally sound, reliable and profitable operation of the units is assured.

As part of a ‘periodic SGM review plan’, the current pressure safeguards and the units safeguarding documentation are reviewed. The task of the Process Safeguarding Review engineer includes PRV sizing, updating and/ or drafting new SGMs, report any findings and initiate plant changes and / or projects when deemed necessary from the review. The job also entails conducting peer reviews of such work.   

Qualifications

• Chemical engineering education, academic thinking and working level with experience in the industry, preferably obtained while working at engineering contractors in process safety design. Experience 10 years.
• “VCA-vol” qualification is a requirement before starting activities, in view of necessity to do site visits.
