JOB DESCRIPTION
Development of discipline design basis, technical specifications, pro-active management of vendor technical interfaces, leadership in the identification, submittal and resolution of scope changes and deviations, coordination with other disciplines. Position involves ensuring conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company QA system, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and/or review design calculations for pressure vessels and tanks.
  • Prepare and/or review technical Specifications.
  • Inter-disciplinary delivery checking.
  • Prepare and/or review technical clarification of pressure vessel vendor bids to ensure vendor compliance with company standards.
  • Prepare and/or review technical reports to support order placement of air coolers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, specialist equipment and filters to ensure vendor compliance with company standards.
  • Project technical support and familiarity with risk assessments, design reviews, constructability and Hazards and Operability (HAZOPs).
  • Ensure quality and timelines for deliverables.
  • Prepare and/or review Vendor proposals/technical clarifications.
  • Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface during the design development.
  • Coordinate the design effort to support the materials requisitions and ensures these documents comply with the technical project specifications.
  • Analyze disputed item from technical and contractual aspects and prepare required official response.
  • Responsible for processing and following up change orders requests. As well as preparing required Justification Work Sheet, Issuing Change Order Request to Contractor and lead scope alignment process with Contractor.

Requirements

•    Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent, chartered status is also preferable

The missions :
The Procurement Lead is in charge of the overall Procurement process for all AGUP Phase 2 Project Services & material, including the Long Lead Items to be purchased during the FEED phase, except for the EPC Contract (managed by others) and more specifcally in charge of :

Activities:
The main Procurement Lead activities are to:

Profile:

Context
Agreements were signed by TotalEnergies in Iraq to enhance the development of the country’s natural resources. The GGIP project, located in the Basra region, is a 4-in-1 project:
? The Associated Gas Upstream Project - AGUP: Enhance Ratawi oil field production thanks to infrastructures upgrade and new export pipeline (Phase I), then a new CPF and additional development wells (Phase II). A 3D seismic will be acquired on Ratawi field prior to the Phase II.
? The Gas Midstream Project - GMP: Valorize the gas from Ratawi, Majoon and Al Qurna West-2 (Phase I) oil fields.
? The Common Seawater Supply Project - CSSP: Major water-injection project that will help the long-term production of several fields of South Iraq. TotalEnergies will only be involved into the seawater treatment plant building.
? The Solar Power Plant - SPP: major solar project (PV plant with a 1250 GW DC) which will allow to produce power (1000 GW AC) to be injected into the grid.

AGUP Phase 2 is the major full field development. It involves drilling around 221 wells, feeding a new built CPF, at TotalEnergies standards, with a capacity of 210 kbopd. Oil will flow respectively at 60 to 80 kbopd from Yamama (~100 MMscfd) and 150 to 130 kbopd from LP reservoirs (~30 MMscfd).
AGUP ph2 project will be developed with the objective to maximize economical results, with a particular focus on the CAPEX, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus. The project development includes several interfaces with other projects (AGUP ph1, GMP and CSSP) which shall be managed in an optimized and agile manner.
The country context is complex due to several factors and risks to be mitigated all along the project. Particular attention will be paid to the safety culture enhancement and to the local content that will be a key factor for the project success.

The Project Manager position leads and supports the execution of capital projects. Experience required with major power plants and equipment including but not limited to turbines, generators, pumps, motors, control systems, electrical/instrumentation, operations, and other balance-of-plant systems. Responsibilities:

Rio Tinto - Western Range

The construction of the project commenced in early 2023, with first 
production expected in 2025. The Western Range project will have a  production capacity of 25 million tonnes of iron ore per year, thereby maintaining production of the Pilbara Blend from Rio Tinto's existing Paraburdoo mining hub.

Flights from Perth to Paraburdoo take just over 1.5 hours followed by a chartered bus ride of 25 minutes to the camp site.

Airswift is seeking a Sr Buyer for a long-term contract position with their top chemical manufacturing client in the Lake Charles, LA area. 

This position is responsible for purchasing supplies and services in accordance with Purchasing Department policies and procedures. This position, as required, may be tasked with managing supply contracts. As needed, this position will confer with Purchasing management regarding specifications, quantity and quality of material and preferred vendors.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manages the flow, recording, and processing of purchasing documents including capital projects. Controls and manages the purchasing activity with external suppliers.
  • Negotiates purchases to the most economical advantage to the Company.
  • Leverage yearly purchases to achieve lowest total cost by establishing yearly or multi-year Contracts for the purchase of goods and services through the identification of repeatable purchases, potential supply base and an appropriate sourcing strategy.
  • Prepares, submits for quotes, and purchases requisitioned materials and equipment following evaluation.
  • Purchases materials and services for the Plants in a manner which assures that the most economical advantage to the Company has been attained.
  • Prepares bid comparisons from quotations, written and verbal, based on evaluation derived from vendor's bids.
  • Expedites orders that are critical to the operation of the Plants and those orders that are behind schedule.
  • Prepares and maintains preferred Vendor database based on previous cost, quality of service, reliability and types of goods and materials.
  • Assists and researches logistical information in specific areas relating to all Plant departments.
  • Assists Accounting in resolving purchase/billing discrepancies; warehouse stores and other departments in expediting, scheduling, contracts, and specifications.
  • Assures that purchase requisitions have had the proper D.O.A. approval levels applied and that the purchasing department complies with external guidelines, such as SOX and Frank-Dodd.
  • Contacts vendors, contractors, and engineering firms to obtain quotes, delivery schedules, and terms of payment. When appropriate, negotiates discounts, delivery schedules and terms.
  • Recognizes market trends and capitalizes on advantageous buying situations.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the Company’s ERP tools.
  • Trains, monitors, mentors, and assists team members in performance of their duties.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree Highly Preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in the purchasing field; industrial facility experience is preferred. 
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of standard software applications (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and SAP experience preferred.

Environment:
  • Laboratory/office/Chamber environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
  • Work may involve long periods of standing or sitting and handling different insect life stages.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This individual must have the ability to pass a physical and pulmonary fit test for respirator use and have the ability to lift 45 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to work for long periods of time in insect rearing rooms under warm and humid conditions (80 °F and 60% RH).
  • Steady hands and not have an aversion to the odors put off by insects or be allergic to them.
Tasks include:
  • Duties and responsibilities include: insect colony maintenance (feeding, cleaning cages, diet prep, etc.), greenhouse activities, assisting with laboratory experiments, supporting field research (data collection, weed removal, infesting trials, etc.), following and maintaining the ISO Quality Management Standards, wearing proper PPE and taking proper safety precautions while working in the lab and potentially field.
  • In addition, this individual must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced global and multi-cultural environment.
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • One year of related experience and/or training preferred.
