Airswift is looking for a QA/QC Inspector to work with a major Oil & Gas company in Anchorage, AK on a W2 contract position.

General Summary:

This position is responsible for monitoring fabrication site quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) activities within his/her prevue and providing direction to contractor QA/QC personnel. He/she supports the development and implementation of effective QA/QC through processes, procedures, training, control measures, corrective and preventive action, assessment, documentation and audit, measurement and analysis, and continuous improvement.  

Critical and leadership skills include:

  • Understanding and implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes and procedures during the fabrication phase of a project.
  • Must be able to build and maintain a good working relationship within the contractor quality organization. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for the administration of the fabrication/module assembly quality requirements to ensure contractors’ compliance with project specifications and practices as they relate to quality during the fabrication phase.
  • Coordinating with the fabrication team to ensure timely execution of quality activities.
  • Assists in the development and review Quality Assurance procedures & processes.
  • Identification and control of Deficient Conditions (Deficiency Reports, Non-Conformance Reports, and Corrective Action Reports) and process.
  • Follow-up on corrective actions and NCRs including verification of disposition and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • The Fabrication Quality Assurance Coordinator is accountable for and as required responsible performing the following:
    • Review of Contractor Quality Plans ITPs and procedures and ensuring they are as per specifications.
    • Provide verification of Contractors’ implementation of their fabrication processes and procedures through execution of the quality surveillance program.
    • Participate in contractors’ kick offs to outline Quality requirements.
    • Participates in ITP witness and hold point activities as indicated in the approved ITP.
    •  Ensure all inspection and testing is in accordance with SPC-EE-WL-80300, Electrical Construction Specification.
    • Verify that electrical material and equipment are inspected by an electrical administrator upon completion of installation per Alaska Statute Title 8, Section 08.40.195.
    • Review and sign-off contractor electrical and instrument IQRs.
    • Participates in system walkdowns.
    • Participates in document reviews and turnover reviews.
    • Sign-off of turnover documentation for the company where appropriate.

Located on Alaska’s North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR-A), the Willow project is estimated to produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day at its peak.
The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) estimates, Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government, the state of Alaska, the North Slope Borough, and local communities. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility (WCF), three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges and supporting infrastructure.
Scope Summary:
The Willow project is spread over several phases and areas.

The Control Room Operator will monitor and control wells, processing equipment, compressors, and alarms during normal operations, abnormal conditions, and emergency responses. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil & Gas clients to seek a Sr Automation Technician to join them on a long-term assignment in Dickinson, ND.

The SCADA/Automation Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Bakken Asset SCADA system and Automated Facility Controls. This will be a field-based position and will require daily travel to field locations. The SCADA/Automation Technician works closely with production operations, I&E technicians, Engineering teams, and SCADA Administrators. The position reports to the Bakken Construction and Engineering organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The SCADA/Automation Technician will be responsible for understanding and implementing the complete automation scope of work on all facilities
  • Assist in leading a team during the commissioning of production facilities
  • Set clear HES performance expectations. Ensure all HES policies and procedures are understood and followed in the field
  • Conduct and document functional checkouts (FCO) on new and existing facilities and equipment, including MOC compliance.
  • Ability to safely make live field adjustments to ROC800/associated controllers based on current scope and updated C&E/Control narratives
  • Work with SCADA admins and Engineering to ensure all data is coming into SCADA accurately and matches the C&E, as well as the control narrative
  • Assist in the review of C&E documents and ensure facility program has proper set points and ranges
  • Perform PSSRs on all-new facility and equipment installations and major maintenance work
  • Notify and work with Engineering on document discrepancies and redline all field changes
  • Responsible for modifying the RTU and HMI program from a master template program
  • Ability to identify proper calibration of all measurement instruments and end devices, including setup and configuration
  • Maintain Oil / Water pipeline systems and control platforms
  • Ability to retain information and remain coachable on new ideas/systems/procedures
  • Work with Maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and repair any SCADA and Communications issues in a timely manner to optimize facility and pipeline uptime and data accuracy, self-managing task priority.
  • Ability to understand Programming and monitoring of all facility control systems in the asset.
  • Instrumentation repair/support and troubleshooting - misc. equipment
  • Utilize different styles of testing equipment to perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair to restore proper operation of automation devices and systems
Requirements:
  • ROC800/DS800 & Emerson product experience is a requirement
  • FB3000/FBxNET designer exposure is required
  • Basic knowledge in ABB XRC G4 & G5, Allen Bradley RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio5000/HMI programs including factory talk view is preferred
  • Communication Protocols: TCP/IP, Modbus RTU & TCP, HART.
  • Instrumentation Experience: Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Vibration, Level and Actuated valves
  • Crimson Software and related red lion products (all versions) preferred
  • Familiarity with Artificial Lift Systems
  • General understanding of proper low voltage control wiring (less than 48vdc)
  • Experience with control systems industry standards
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 7+ years experience with similar job responsibilities
  • Upstream/production Oil & Gas Industry experience is required

Responsibilities:
 
  • Ensure PMO processes / playbook and ways of working established by the project are followed during the project lifecycle
  • Promptly escalate issues and critical risks to project leadership
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate key dependencies and decisions with other project managers under the program and ensure these items are visible to project leadership
  • Ability to generate and communicate project updates internally and externally as required
  • Monitor/Manage project financials and report to project leadership accordingly


Qualifications:

In the role of Marine Engineer you are responsible for taking the role of an independent Marine Engineer on projects.  

  • You will contribute to deliver high-quality and cost-effective Marine Systems designs of products. You will particularly focus on FPSOs and potentially; Floating LNG products.
  • In this position you could experience occasional high workload (peaks in project scope for your discipline).
  • You could be; optionally requested to be on assignment in other project offices or shipyards around the globe on short or long-term basis.

 

Job requirements

Looking for candidates who have an MSc or BSc degree or equivalent (i.e. Professional Certification) in any field of Marine Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Higher Seafaring College or General Operational Technology (AOT).  

You have at least 2 years working experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design (Preferably on Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed phase).

Furthermore you have:

  • In-depth experience and sound technical knowledge in both conceptual and detailed design of (marine and production) systems on floating & production units (FSO's, FPSO's, Oil & Gas Carriers, Chemical Tankers, Drilling Units, Semi's, TLP) for the Oil & Gas Industry;
  • Good interface knowledge with related disciplines i.e. Naval, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, Technical Safety & Regulatory;
  • Preferably working experience in/ with Shipyards, Shipboard Operation, Marine Equipment Vendor and Manufacturer;
  • Preferably experience in Engineering & Design and/or Operation of LNG carriers;
  • Familiar with the latest (marine) systems and equipment technology and having the ability to specify and judge the suitability of equipment, while keeping a good balance between technological advancement and commercial awareness;
  • Familiar with rules of classification societies (i.e.: ABS, DNV GL, BV and Lloyds), international organizations and proper implementation of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) policies;
  • Have experience with review methods, such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA HP/LP Reports, SIF Reports etc .
