Contract Hire in South Africa

Background

Our client is a steel and mining company producing safe, sustainable steel. They are the leading supplier of quality steel products in all major markets including automotive, construction, household appliances and packaging.

Challenge

Our client was in need of over 100 skilled and experienced steel workers from a variety of disciplines in operations across South Africa and Europe. In 2014, they  asked Airswift to help with a recruitment campaign focused in India for their large steel industry and already experienced workforce. Our client required candidates to speak fluent English and possess technical skills needed so they could transfer into each role with as little training as possible.

Airswift Solution

Airswift was given 40 of the 100 roles to fill, most of which were in South Africa. Airswift conducted a detailed interview process with all candidates within a four month period.

Successful candidates were given the chance to relocate with their families and be sponsored into South Africa.

Results

Airswift successfully identified and filled all 40 positions with candidates who met all the requirements for operations in South Africa.
