Background

Our client provides midstream energy services, including crude oil and gas gathering, processing, and marketing to producers in Oklahoma’s STACK play.

Our client was expanding their cryogenic gas processing facility from 60 MMCF/D to 200 MMCF/D and a further 200 miles of natural gas and crude oil pipelines. They needed to identify key personnel for 15 positions because of this expansion.

Challenge

Due to a shift in patterns (7/7 or 5/2), all candidates needed to be local (within 50 miles of  Oklahoma) or willing to relocate to the area. In addition to this limited talent pool, our client had tight hiring timescales and needed to on-board all personnel within eight weeks for the following positions:

• Project Manager (Pipeline & Well Connect)
• Field Operators (6x)
• Plant Operators (4x)
• PSM/DOT Coordinator
• Construction Manager
• Asset (Process) Engineer

Airswift Solution

Airswift was selected to provide a team of dedicated specialist consultants to map local gas plant talent in Oklahoma, which included overviews of candidates’ experience, locations, salary benchmarking, and employer perception information. This online tool available to our client also generated geographical representation of all key competitors within the gas processing sector from an operational perspective. Through this talent mapping, Airswift qualified over 200 candidates.

Results

Airswift successfully identified, recruited, hired, on-boarded, and mobilized all 15 positions, 12 of which came from local talent and started within the eight-week timeframe, including the six Field Operators, four Plant Operators, Construction Manager and Project Manager. The remaining positions started within a 10-week period due to relocation constraints.

Our client still has access to the mapped talent pool of over 200 professionals.
