Background

Our client extended its reach in Brazil in 2005 to expand operations into a significant and dynamic offshore drilling region. The company's operations focus on environmentally-sound solutions and advanced technology, supporting a number of areas across the Latin American region in Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Peru.

Challenge

In 2016, Uruguayan state-owned oil company ANCAP approved the contract for a consortium of companies to begin operations on project Round Uruguay II.

Exploratory drilling operations began at the Raya-1 well, located in Block 14 of the Uruguayan offshore platform. Our client and other subcontractors and suppliers participated in the project.

Airswift provided Talent Acquisition and Global Mobility services, including both contract and permanent recruitment and payroll services through our Latin American regional headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Results

Airswift recruited and payrolled 26 positions across a variety of disciplines including Drilling Fluids Technician, Controller, HSE Consultant, Operational Assistant, and more. Our successful approach enabled a smooth, safe and compliant mobilisation of personnel, as well as ongoing support to personnel and their families throughout the lifecycle of the project.

As a result of our service delivery to the project in Uruguay, Airswift was selected to provide the same services for project locations in Chile and Argentina.
