Senior Electrical Installation Engineer – Paris, France



Key responsibilities and main tasks:
 
  • Prepare specifications, procedures and installation standards for the electricity project
  • Define main cable routing and 3D modeling corresponding volumes
  • Prepare electrical substation arrangement drawings
  • Carry out preliminary studies of Earthing and Lighting installations
  • Issue preliminary take off for electrical bulk material (including cables) and ensure monitoring and control of quantities
  • Follow up and support of detailed design operating centers
  • Define and select bulk electrical equipment (lighting fixture, junction box, cable tray, etc.)
  • Ensure interfaces with other disciplines (Installation-Piping, Civil, Instrumentation, Procurement, Construction, etc.)
  • Attend 3D model review, follow up and close-out of associated findings
  • Strict follow-up and reporting to management of progress of submission of critical documents and information (consumer list, interface information, cabling documents). Act as necessary (organize working sessions…) to collect all final data in due time.
  • Regular reporting to the Lead Discipline Engineer (or its deputy), in particular in terms of deliverables with “hold” items (information needed for release), blocking technical issues, missing interface data, Vendor’s Documentation submission progress and delays, CPY comment status.
  • Identify all necessary interfaces whether internal, external or ‘inter-discipline’ and coordinate with the Lead Discipline Engineer or its deputy.


The experience shall include:
  • Experience in general electrical design and installation (power, earthing and lighting) in onshore projects
  • Knowledge of engineering workflow
  • Knowledge of IEC rules, IECEx and/or ATEX certification schemes
  • Fluent English (writing of technical documents, minute of meeting, …)
  • Good relationship in order to interface with other disciplines, Company and electrical team
  • Knowledge of Smartplant Electrical, Adobe Acrobat and 3D tools could be a plus
  • Site/field experience appreciated
