Title: Frontline Supervisor, Field Accommodations
 
Airswift is seeking a Frontline Supervisor/Field Accommodations to work with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry in Calgary. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.
 
Summary: The Frontline Supervisor (FLS) of Field Accommodations (FA) to execute the FA Business Plan to support the CVE community to enable exceptional performance through safety, community engagement, integrity, and accountability. This role must lead the Scope Definition, Execution and Lookback activities. Must ensure compliance and alignment to the CVE Governing Documents and the Project Management Framework. Accountable to manage the front-line workforce with Service Provider teams to deliver on plan.
 
Location: Site based at CVE Upstream field assets (Ex: FCCL and Sunrise)
 
Qualifications:
• +5 years' experience in hospitality management and/or camp operations
• Able to effectively manage fluctuating workloads and set priorities to meet deadlines
• Work independently and/or function in a team environment, concentrating on team goals and objectives
• Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and teach others
• Able to coordinate and maintain project management framework
• Write clear and concise reports
• Strong communication, organizational, time-management and decision-making skills
• Have good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
• Class 5 Drivers license or equivalent
 
Key Stakeholders:
• Reports directly to Group Lead, Field Accommodations
• Liaison with FA Coordinators, WRE Reservations Team, WRE Travel, Recreation & Engagement Coordinators, WRE Data Analytics, WRE Scheduler, Service Providers, Clients, Health & Wellness, and Regulatory/Compliance.

o Stop work if not being performed safely, and actively participate in resolution
• Commitment to self and team awareness to drive understanding and effectiveness
• Maintain their training profile to meet the company's requirements and risk tolerance
• Verify area and project-specific orientations are delivered to each worker before start of any work activities onsite.
• As per company's safe work permitting practice, issue Safe Work Permits to approved Service Provider personnel; on risk-based approach
• Obtain, review, and enter HSE Event information into CVE Reporting System – Intelex
• Actively engage in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and crisis management processes to ensure that all workers are familiar with the ERP, including performing drills/exercises
• Review and verify compliance to CVE 561 and ISN Networld Compliance prior and during execution
• Review and verify compliance to food safety regulations
• Perform Service Provider CVE Spot checks with HSE team
• Ensure mask fit testing is up to date and compliant
• Monitor and review Service Providers performance through proactive assurance/assessment activities with a coaching/mentoring approach
• Plan, schedule, and assess Service Providers are following the requirements of the company's Safety Management System and the Service Providers’ Safety Management systems
o Plan and/or participate in behavior-based observations, hazard identifications, near misses, incident reporting, THAs, Hazard Assessments, Safety Meetings, site inspections and other proactive safety activities or initiatives - CVE HSE Power BI Dashboard
o In accordance to OHS Act (Section 4 – Obligations of Supervisors and Section 10 – Obligations of Prime Contractors)
• Execution and follow up on external government agencies compliance visits
• Be the CVE on scene supervisor for all incidents pertaining to FA
• Verify case management process with Service Provider participate in incident investigation to ensure close-out, review, and approve
• Communicate to Coordinator on Camp Rule violations
• Review and correct contractual deviation of Service Provider performance regarding room management
• Participate with Journey Management of Coordinator within the asset
• Review, Manage, and submit requests for PLP process – Service Provider Access
 
Benchmarking/Analysis
• Monitor and verify other groups functional forecasts/scope for accuracy & variance in partnership with Reservations team (0 -3 months out from execution)
• Review, analyze the FA Power BI Data – Cost/Man-day, Food Cost, Cost by Category, Short Term Forecast/Occupancy, Camp Stays, Staff vs. Guest Staffing Ratio, Occupied/On hold
o Review, track, and identify trends related to real-time feedback
• Ensure and maintain relevant MS Office program competence – Excel. PPT, MS Teams, MS Outlook
• Perform assurance (QA) on food preparation, janitorial, housekeeping and front desk scope performed by Service Provider in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions
• Communicate on asset life cycle condition to inform asset inventory management system to support Coordinator deliverable
• Obtain and analyze client feedback card KPI data trends and share with Coordinator
• Create a Master Service Request (MSR) to receive Purchase Order Approval - Maximo
• Review and verify invoices as part of the payment verification process - Open Invoice
• Estimate, Monitor, Manage FA annual camp budgets
• Provide data to Cost Technician and take ownership of cost reporting data: (Ex: Accruals, ITD, FFC)
• Consult with NPI regarding maintenance deficiencies within the FA assets at the weekly FA/NPI meeting and review the M&R Dashboard
 
 
Project Management Framework
• Demonstrate role-based deliverables and consistent asset to asset approach
• Adhere to COMS 4.4 Project Management Standard – Focus on role “Project Manager”
• Review and demonstrate understanding of role, process, communications through FLS Playbook
• Plan and participate in asset and functional site tours to understand the CVE business
• Monitor and report on FA priorities: Food, Shelter, Technology & KPI’s in alignment with project management pillars: Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost
• Support Coordinator in Stage 0 Opportunity Assessment – Stage 3 & Gate 3 Final Investment Decision (FID) & Stage 5 Lookback deliverables with Consultation and Inform approach from the Coordinators.
• Lead the Stage 4 Execution deliverables.
• Monitor and report to Recreation Coordinator on programs implementation progress in daily FA operations
• Communicate to Coordinator all changes to approved plans, schedules and/or standards to the overall project (Non-Compliance Report (NCR) Management of change (MOC)
• Lead Service Provider Stewardship reviews and document business KPI’s
• Communicate deficiencies of fire protection and evacuation equipment to the Coordinator
• Report on maintenance and occupational health concerns M&R Dashboard
• Communicate on maintenance deficiencies within the FA assets to Coordinator
• Monitor and communicate on maintenance project progress with NPI to Coordinator
• Demonstrate adherence and discipline to the FA Knowledge Management Framework – SharePoint
