Our business
Our major subsea contracting client are recruiting for a Home Office Commissioning Engineer (Process Engineering discipline) to join their team on an LNG Project.  Based in the office in Paris, you will be responsible for the preparation and planning of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning (PC&C) activities to be executed for a Qatar based project.

Key Responsibilities and background:
  • Ensure preparation work is executed with quality and respect of PC&C schedule, Budget and contract.
  • Report any technical finding or potential safety issue to the hierarchical manager
  • Coordinate with the different engineering disciplines involved in project design to ensure PC&C requirements are incorporated in detailed design.
  • Execute Project systemization works including System marked up drawings and Tag to Subsystem allocation for implementation in the Completion Database.
  • Write up and update of General Commissioning procedures and detailed method statement. Incorporation of Client comments.
  • Coordinate with Handover and completion team for implementation and population of the completion tools.
  • Preparation of Technical studies for Key PC&C activities such as Steam blowing, Cooling water commissioning, Refractory dry out, Fuel gas in, chemical cleaning etc.
  • Preparation of Scope of work for Commissioning Subcontractors
  • Liaise with Company representatives, suppliers, subcontractors to ensure good cohesion and efficient communication between project teams
  • Highlight any potential work process improvement or relevant lessons learns to improve quality of the work
  • Review & comment PFDs, P&IDs and discipline drawings to provide commissioning and start-up inputs & technical requirements.
  • Define Systems and subsystems mark-up on PFD and P&ID
  • Develop commissioning sequence and work with planning team to build detailed level 3 and 4 PC&C schedule
  • Support subcontracting team in definition of site subcontracted activities Scope of work, Roles and responsibilities. Develop PC&C bid tabulation.
  • Develop method statements and project procedures associated to commissioning and start-up activities
  • Participate to supplier clarification and bidding process to ensure commissioning and start-up requirement are considered in design.
  • Coordinate with the different disciplines involved in project execution and participate in key multidisciplinary reviews such as 3D model, HAZOP and PID reviews etc. to ensure all commissioning requirements are properly addressed in engineering documentation
  • Prepare Pre-commissioning/ Commissioning Specifications and Procedures along with the progress of engineering and in line with Contractual requirements and Project standards
  • Develop and coordinate detailed lists of vendors, spare parts, tools, consumables and temporary equipment to ensure availability on site when required.
  • Review Engineering technical specifications and supplier documents
  • Customize Conformity checks sheets and Test sheets (Quality Control Forms) to be used during the execution of the commissioning scope in compliance with Project specifications, JV standards and Local regulations
  • Prepares / provide inputs to technical workshops and weekly / monthly progress reports of PC&C activities

Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Demonstrable field of expertise in pre-commissioning and commissioning scopes & start up activities with a Process Engineering background.
  • Must have previous onshore / offshore oil & gas industry experience in similar role.
  • Knowledge of relevant software including: MS office, Bluebeam, 3d Model tools, Completion Tools (Icaps, Easyplant).
