Job Title: Naval Architecture Designer
 
Location: Rotterdam, The Netherlands
 
Description:
We are seeking a Naval Architecture Designer to apply technical knowledge to design aspects and produce fit-for-purpose and constructible designs. The role involves ensuring adherence to best practices and accountability to the Discipline Manager or Discipline Lead.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Utilize technical knowledge and software tools to clearly depict designs for interpretation
Communicate with Engineers and/or Lead Designer to avoid rework and ensure design intent understanding
Plan and deliver assigned tasks accurately within agreed time frames
Prioritize activities, manage conflicting deadlines, and provide status updates
Collaborate with Engineers and other Designers to resolve conflicts and produce high-quality designs
Ensure consistency of design, perform self-checks, and comply with project requirements
Qualifications:
 
Self-motivated with a focus on improving technical competencies
Understanding of project schedules and impact on meeting deadlines
Ability to adapt to change and ensure compliance with procedures
Attention to detail and ability to produce error-free deliverables
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
