We are currently recruiting for an Operations Lead to join an operator client on a new energy project, consisting of an onshore carbon capture facility, as well as transportation and storage network for CO2.

You will be responsible for providing quality input to the design to deliver the required operability and maintainability of plant and process equipment.

Key Responsibilities and background:
  • Participate in HAZOPs and LOPAs, package and layout designs. 
  • Provide Operations input to operability and maintainability reviews for Power, Capture, Compression, CO2 gathering network and subsea CO2 storage network. 
  • Operations input PFD, P&ID, constructability, interface, and model reviews for 3 contracts across: 
  • Power, Capture and Compression EPCc contractor
  • Onshore Pipe network EPCm contractor 
  • Offshore Subsea network EPCi contractor 


Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Process Operations or equivalent. 
  • Apprenticeship in industry preferred
  • Industry experience in an Operations Leadership role.
  • The Operations Lead role is demanding and challenging and therefore requires an individual who has well developed interpersonal skills, is self-motivated, enables and drives team development, and is capable of working within a broader team to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Ability to network effectively across various organisations to access relevant data and knowledge. 
  • Highly self-motivated and able to perform without continuous supervision and able to work as part of a diverse team. 
  • Ability to work flexibly and to work from home, as well as travel to the various FEED Contractor offices when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve
  • Ability to learn from new ideas and apply solutions to add value
  • Overcome obstacles with an intense desire to succeed

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience working in a project or project operations role
  • Experience working in a lead maintenance role, as well as Operations
  • Experience working on Power Stations 
  • Experience working on CO2 Capture Plants or similar chemical processes 
  • Experience working on Pipe networks onshore or offshore 
  • Experience working with either COMAH or Seveso Directives
