Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Operator (Pumping Unit) to join one of our clients in the oil and gas industry. As a Lease Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of oil and gas wells, ensuring optimal production and efficiency. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the production of oil and gas wells
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and other machinery
- Assist with horizontal drilling operations
- Build and maintain well pads and access roads
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
Requirements:
- Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining pumping units, preferably in an industrial or oil and gas setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of pumping unit mechanics and operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
