Our client is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to work in Ingleside, TX, for an initial 8 month assignment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert level technical guidance and direction to resolve any issues or challenges encountered during installation, commissioning, or maintenance activities.
  • Provides expertise to project team in instrumentation related activities
  • Conduct field inspections to verify the quality and integrity of installed instrumentation equipment and systems.
  • As a technical authority, responsible for leading, planning, and delivering Engineering solutions and supporting instrumentation and controls team during the construction and commissioning phase of the project.
  • Accountable to coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate installation of instrumentation systems according to project plans and specifications.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and specifications related to instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of required instrumentation materials and equipment.
  • Provide Technical guidance to site query and approve red line drawings to be sent for as built.
  • Accountable to provide weekly updates to line manager and project team as required.
Requirements:

 
  • Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation and Controls or Electrical Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer designation required
  • 25+ years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry required
  • Specialized knowledge of transformers, generators, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor control, electrical protection systems, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in protection and control systems
  • Working knowledge of Smart Completions software from Hexagon is preferable.
  • Able to read and understand P&IDs, PFDs, ISOs and technical specifications
  • Able to understand and use CMS databases, preferably Hexagon
  • 15+ years experience in working with construction contractors at their facility during the building and commissioning of the facilities.
