Airswift has been tasked by one of our major EPC O&G clients to seek a Subsea Material Engineer to work in their facilities located in Stavanger, Norway, under 1 year contract.
Responsibilities
- Subsea Material Engineer within the Subsea Alliance, covering SPS & SURF scope of work
- The role is part of the technical team reporting to the Engineering Manager
- The role is responsible for follow-up of material selection process
- Ensure lessons learned and operational experience are implemented in the design
- Provide technical advice about the suitability of specified and alternative design, solutions and materials
- Review relevant materials and fabrication documentation
- Ensure compliance in fabrication to company’s own requirements, regulatory requirements and project specifications and relevant industry and international standards
- Contribute to project risk assessment reviews and evaluation on company’s involvement strategy
- Assis on ITP reviews, give input on technical requirements and attendance level
- Contribute to fulfilment of the ‘’see to it’’ duty as responsible for company’s Quality Control in the SSA
- Perform required ITP activities, coordinate with Quality Lead
- Advice on relevant TQ’s, NCR’s and CR’s. Involve and coordinate with relevant TA.
- Participate in kick-off meetings, pre-production meetings and other production meetings from suppliers as required.
- Attend design verifications from a system perspective as required (e.g. CARA, HAZOP, HAZID)
- Involve, assist and communicate with company’s fabrication representatives
- Be an active driver towards the SSA values
