Job Description: 
Basic Job Function:


As part of our Alarm Management team within the Process Control Engineering group, this position provides Alarm Management support to Operations, Technical Safety, Automation and other work groups at the Plant.
This position is responsible for the monitoring, management and optimiztion of our process alarms, with the continuous objective of streamlining the total number of alarms to allow our console operators to focus on the information necessary to best operate our facilities.Teamwork with Company Operations and Automation consultants is required and necessary.  Success will be measured by the engineer’s ability to transfer knowledge and complete work successfully with other Company Automation engineers and Company Operations personnel. The position primarily supports operations at SGP/SGI, KTL and 3GP/3GI (oil & gas separation & sweetening, sulfur plant, sour-gas injection), but additional Company facilities are also supported as necessary.  
Daily responsibilities may include but not limited to:
•    Supporting daily operations by developing Alarm Management related MOCs and updates to Process Safety Information (PSI) documentation for the successful implementation of all Alarm System improvements for all operating facilities
•    Completion of all alarm-related action items assigned to this position, as managed through the MOC work process
•    Ownership and configuration of Plant State Suite (PSS), the alarm management database system of record
•    Development and optimization of daily, weekly, and monthly alarm management reports and metrics
•    Facilitation of weekly and monthly alarm management interface meetings with Operations 
•    Integration of the new FGP facilities PSS databases into the existing Base Business systems Representing Company in  system Alarm Management best practices community
•    Participation in Process Hazards Analysis (PHAs) for new projects, MOCs, or existing facilities as needed
•    Working with Operations and Automation Consultants to close out PHA recommendations that are assigned to them

Job Specification and requirements:

•    Baccalaureate or higher degree in one of:
Automation and Control Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Petroleum Engineering
 High fluency in Russian (reading, writing and speaking)
Intermediate fluency in English

Preferred additional Qualifications:
•    Automation or Process control experience in an Industrial oil & gas facility supporting Operations 
•    Awareness of alarm management work process and systems
•    Technical Russian
•    Technical English

Selection Criteria:
Experience: Must have at least 1 year experience working in an industrial oil & gas production facility.  Awareness of oil & gas processing technologies such as oil stabilization and sulfur recovery.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to interpret and understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Cause-and-Effect matrices.  Awareness of Management of Change (MOC) work processes and their use at oil & gas facilities.  Awareness or working knowledge of Plant State Suite (PSS) Tools and knowledge or experience in the application of alarm management principles would be a strong benefit.
Communication Skills:  English (Intermediate to Fluent).  Strong written and oral communication skills.  Ability to facilitate meetings across a range of disciplines and to participate in cross-functional teams working on complex problems.
