The CEO will be the in-charge on the overall integration of the supply chain, business development and market workstreams of company to grow its current business unit in Thailand and to support the expansion of the company. You will guide and empower the production, procurement, and sales teams to jointly achieve and surpass set targets, including actively engaging in crucial negotiations, complex implementations of commercial agreements, various projects and continuous improvements. Business knowledge in oil and gas, and petrochemicals is desirable.
The CEO will be accountable for implementing the strategy of the hiring company together with the department team leaders, and as defined by the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Have end-to-end profit & loss responsibility;
- Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the entire operations and partner with all departments to meet budget and other financial goals, and to develop integrated processes that support excellent customer service. This includes the Production, Procurement and Sales Teams with all related support functions;
- Develop, establish, and direct the execution of operating policies and routines to support overall company objectives;
- Working in partnership with the management team and board of directors, create a strategic five-year plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it;
- Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals;
- Oversee all administrative functions, ensuring smooth daily operations;
- Oversee, enhance and enforce health, safety, security, environment and risk management, environmental, social and governance performance, and legal activities: client contracts, partnership agreements, leases, and other legal documents;
- Manage and oversee all financial and business planning activities, including:
– Direct and administer all financial plans
– Oversee business policies and accounting practices
– Enforce credit analysis and payment receivables
– Review and analyze financial reports and instigate corrective actions
– Lead and support organizational budgeting processes; - Compliance
– in accordance with the law and applicable regulations and codes
– provide leadership to cross functional teams to drive business outcome and increase efficiency
– develop, implement and manage strategies to reduce risk for negative impacts
– scale customer operations by developing and empowering high performance teams;
- Manage and oversee the human resource function, including:
– Recruitment, hiring and compensation
– Benefits administration and oversight
– Professional training and development, including new employee orientation
– Retention strategies.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, MBA desired
- Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or CEO in chemical manufacturing / oil and gas downstream industry / commodities
- Minimum 15 to 20 years’ experience working in Thailand
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Experience in fundraising is preferred
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Native or bilingual command in Thai language including reading and writing is preferred
