Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a team of experts and be a part of a culture that promotes a friendly work environment. In this role, you will join a team of engineers and designers working on projects to design rail network expansions for new mine developments. You will enjoy a diverse range of exposure to various parts of the projects and will:
  • Work on both greenfield scopes as well as brownfield upgrades to the existing infrastructure.
  • Get involved both in the rail and civil aspects of the projects with scopes including rail and civil works, NPI, roads, and drainage.
  • Gain exposure to road and rail embankment design, hydraulics and hydrology, and geotechnical aspects of the projects.
  • Assist in ensuring the drawings and design documentation meet client requirements.
  • Work on project risk assessments, material take-offs and capital cost estimations.
  • Opportunities to develop leadership and mentoring skills through training junior engineers.

About you
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil engineering
  • 5+ years of Civil Engineering experience
  • Experience working within a design project environment, preferably within the rail, mining, or roads.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team.

Our client is seeking a Electrical Engineer to work on a 12-month assignment in Perth, WA.

Electrical Engineer

  • Perth.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed design drawings, capital cost estimates, and a full suite of study deliverables.
  • Operate independently while having access to a principal for technical guidance.
  • Be responsible for project deliverables, demonstrating capability at a Senior level.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Be an effective communicator, liaising directly with Engineering Managers, Project Managers, and Estimators.
  • Contribute to a variety of rail projects for different clients, including major projects and sustaining capital initiatives.
  • Possess knowledge of Pilbara Operator standards, as these differ significantly from Australian Standards.
  • Embrace a traditional consultancy role and seize opportunities for growth within Client's Company.
  • Apply true technical design engineering experience, with a strong focus on design rather than operations or maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably with qualifications verified by Engineers Australia if obtained overseas.
  • A minimum of 3-7 years of technical design engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Pilbara Operator standards, distinct from Australian Standards.
  • Ability to work independently, taking initiative and showcasing problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work on diverse rail projects for various clients, encompassing both major projects and sustaining capital initiatives.

  • Knowledge of relevant local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Competent use of electrical engineering software.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including the MS Office Suite.
  • Substantial hands-on experience in electrical engineering within a similar industry, including multidisciplinary project and team collaboration.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Recognized and relevant engineering degree.
  • Preferred: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
  • RPEV or RPEQ registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management, or equivalent supervisory qualifications.
