Construction Manager – JD
ACCOUNTABILITIES: Not limited to the following:
  • Construction Manager will participate in the constructability workshop for various facilities with FEED contractor.
  • Construction Manager assists the Package Manager to consider and integrate FEED studies outcomes into Call for Tender execution process.
  • Construction Manager is responsible for the facilities construction in yard, pre-commissioning and preparation, and execution of the hookup activities in offshore.
  • He will be responsible (Company Representative) for all activities (except Commissioning) concerning the Package on board the hook up barge during the offshore phase.
  • To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other CLIENT HSE procedures in all activities,
  • To carry out work in compliance with CLIENT values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed CLIENT.
  • priorities and objectives, CLIENT standards and procedures and good industry practices,
  • To assist Package Manager in mobilization, organization and management of the team required to carry out the work,
  • To assist to define Work Time Schedule with objective to reduce the costs and optimize the duration and to ensure compliance with these up to Project Close-out,
  • Lead the Company resources allocated to this task,
  • To interface with Field Operations team members in developing SIMOPS, tie-ins and shutdown scope, philosophy, and schedule for the site activities - new WHP installation, hookup, commissioning, and integration works,
  • To interface with Phase 2 other Package(s) and with CLIENT related entities for brownfield and tie-in works within the existing facilities,
  • Assist the Interface Coordinator in ensuring that all interfaces are adequately defined, monitored, and managed,
  • To assist in launching EPC tenders from preparation of contracting strategy, CFT and bid evaluations including to support in the technical and commercial analysis of offers for contractor selection for EPC,
  • To manage Construction Works and Hook-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning Detail Engineering progress including follow-up of engineering and vendor documentation reviews to ensure compliance with design dossier, SOR, Company specifications, corporate standard and HSE regulation, international codes and classification society rules,
  • To act as Company Site Representative during the offshore execution of the work,
  • To assist in close out preparation of the all the stages of new WHP projects from CFT, Detail Engineering,
  • Commissioning, performance tests completion, settlement of any claims, execution of close out certificates including for warranty period commencement, transfer and archiving of final documentations and issuance of close out reports,
  • To carry out any other duty or task that may be assigned by hierarchical superiors.
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering and construction,
  • Experience: At least 15 years’ experience in the offshore oil and gas project, with minimum 5 years’ experience as Construction / Hook-up Manager/Engineer,
  • Experience within a project team: At least 10 years’ experience at senior level within large multinational taskforce team environment,
  • Experience in offshore facilities at conceptual and pre-FEED stages is preferred.
  • Available for technical missions worldwide,
  • Familiar with Total General Specifications, PRODOM and relevant codes and standards.
  • Language: Fluent English,
  • Computer literate,
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
  • Good analytical skills,
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
  • Interfacing with other entities to properly and timely define the integration projects scope of works,
  • Major Projects involve the development of new offshore platforms bridge linked to the existing facilities, installation of subsea pipelines and debottlenecking of the produced water treatment, all these activities could be executed across several international sites. Projects will require complex interfaces with other entities of the Client.
  • EPC execution shall take place at Contractor premises,
  • Possibility of multiple worldwide missions or relocations to follow-up engineering development and EPC execution with various contractors.
